Second generation Camaros are red hot right now and the best one blend old and new so seamlessly that they feel like vintage cars but bring the thunder like a late-model. Finished in brilliant Cranberry Red paint, this awesome 1970 Chevrolet Camaro SS tribute also features a thumping 383 cubic inch stroker motor, a quick-witted automatic transmission, and enough details to keep you interested for years. The body was professionally refinished, and all of the metalwork is masterfully done with a seamless blend of old and new components. Weve always been fond of the way bright colors work on high-performance cars, with the handsome bright red finish keeps this high-performance F-body in the limelight no matter who else shows up. All the unique Camaro performance details were retained, including front and rear spoilers, a cowl-induction hood, and even SS badging, which creates a car that Chevy didnt build but could have. And, of course, there are those black stripes which instantly identify this Camaro as something special. The paint is very nicely done with first-rate fit and finish, although it does show a few signs of use and age, as youd expect. Up front theres a correct blacked-out grille with an RS conversion, while out back four round taillights make the second-generation Camaro instantly recognizable from a distance. A mixture of original equipment with a few upgrades greets you inside. The black buckets have been fully restored with fresh foam and new covers, which match the door panels perfectly. New carpets make it look showroom fresh, and the dash pad is unblemished, so it has an OEM feel when youre behind the wheel. Factory gauges cover the basics, but there are auxiliary dials down on the center console, and even today the wrap-around instrument panel uses a proper camera case finish. This car also includes an AM/FM/CD stereo radio in the center of the dash and a familiar horseshoe shifter to manage the transmission underneath. The rear seat looks almost completely unused and youll note there are tailored carpeted floor mats to help keep things tidy. Under that cool deck lid spoiler is a clean trunk with a correct mat and new weather seals. The engine is a fresh 383 cubic inch V8 that delivers a big block whack of torque without the weight. Aluminum heads and a GM high-rise intake manifold are clues that this isnt just a garden-variety small block, and the guys at Summit Racing rate it at 450 horsepower. It feels like it! Other details include a full MSD ignition system, Holley 4-barrel carburetor, a big radiator, and long-tube headers. The TCI TH350 3-speed automatic transmission gives this SS that immediate, hands-on feel, making it a fantastic point-and-go machine. Out back, a set of 3.73 gears and a Posi in the 10-bolt rear end are the ideal dance partners, delivering snappy acceleration that never gets boring. The undercarriage is quite clean and has been upgraded with a set of subframe connectors and a Flowmaster dual exhaust system. It rolls on a set of gorgeous 20-inch IROC replicas which carry 245/35/20 front and 255/45/20 rear performance radials. Someone spent an awful lot of money on this SS tribute, endowing it with a classic performance look that stands out because its unusual. We dont often see second-generation Camaros this nice, so dont miss this opportunity, call now!
Sometimes too much is exactly what you need. Thats the attitude behind this fantastic pro street 1970 Chevrolet Camaro. And before you say pro-street is dead, take a closer look, because this one is a very trick 21st century take on the familiar drag-race-inspired street car, and we like the results a whole lot. Anything painted Atomic Orange is going to get noticed, but with 18 inches of blower and air scoop hanging out of the hood, it will be impossible to ignore this Camaro. Building on the pro-street tradition of big horsepower, big tires, and big acceleration, it has raised the bar in terms of sophistication and design. Check out the smoothed body, which has no door handles, no mirrors, and no badges beyond the Z/28 emblem in the grille. The second-generation Camaros body lends itself to the streamlined look, and with a custom aluminum wing neatly faired into the deck lid and painted to match (including the stripe!) it looks like a 30s aero streamliner as much as a blunt-force hammer for the street. There is a hood, of course, but its mostly an opening for the blower. The cream-colored stripe is a great contrast against the copper paint and details like the crystal clear headlights, flush-mounted fuel filler on the deck lid, and 50s Pontiac blue-dot taillight lenses give it a trick look without losing its identity. The interior is combat-ready but still built for the street, thanks to comfortable tan bucket seats with provisions for harnesses, full carpets, and nicely finished door panels. No crude race car stuff here! A custom center console blends seamlessly with the fabricated dash, which is filled with Auto Meter Ultra-Lite gauges. The B&M shifter manages a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and if you glance out the windshield, youll see an extra pair of gauges for boost and fuel pressure mounted right to the back of the blower. Very cool! A 4-spoke Billet Specialties steering wheel has been wrapped in matching tan leather, giving the interior a consistent look. Yes, theres a cage, but it stays out of the way pretty well and the rear seat area is now full of wheel wells, so dont bother with any extra passengers. The trunk is all business, with a fuel cell mounted to the subframe as well as a remote-mounted battery. Dont worry, theres plenty of power to back up the outrageous look thanks to a built supercharged 454 cubic inch Chevy V8. Thats a Littlefield 6-71 supercharger up top, fed by a pair of Holleys. Brodix aluminum heads improve the flow while reducing weight and theres a big enough cam to get noticed even at idle. Its pump gas friendly, so no worries about this being a cranky full-race piece and thanks to a giant radiator, electric fans, and an electric water pump, it keeps its cool. Dont get me wrong, its nasty and not for a rookie, but its also ready to use. Theres a full A-arm front suspension with rack-and-pinion steering and coil-overs, and the custom 9-inch rear end uses a 5-link and coil-overs to plant those massive meats. A fabricated Flowmaster exhaust system sounds spectacular and uses flattened exhaust tips that look like they were borrowed from NASCAR. 4-wheel vented and cross-drilled disc brakes are there for safety and the stance is more pro-touring than pro-street. The same goes for the giant 19- and 20-inch wheels, which were color-matched to the bodywork and wrapped in 225/35/19 front and 345/30/20 rear performance rubber. This is a show car you can use on the street and its got the hardware that tells everyone its not fooling around. If you like to make a big entrance, few cars can do it better than this Camaro. More than just a real-deal Z-car, this 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 has been preserved in the right places and painstakingly restored everywhere else to deliver a time capsule example of one of the most desirable muscle machine around. This was the first year for the second-gen Camaro, and so there are some exclusive features collectors love. For example, the factory-correct Camaro Gold paint was a shade only offered this year. Thats why they invested nicely in a professional respray to give this a truly precious metal finish in the sunshine. But this bright coupe also has a dark side. It has a proper RS front end with the split bumper, correct marker lights, and a large blacked-out grille like a mouth ready to consume lesser cars. The dark opening also goes with the deep chin spoiler and the Z/28s black dual racing stripes. And that full-width rear spoiler is the perfect performance-minded finishing touch. While we already mentioned the front bumper, its worth noting the mirror-like quality of the form-fitting rear one, too. The whole car really looks like straight and clean time capsule from 1970 right down to the details, like the Z/28 badging and revised Rally wheel package. Inside, the factory-correct saddle interior has a terrific level of preservation. Once again, you see 1970-only features like the low-back bucket seats. This has all the features you love, including the center console with iconic horseshoe shifter. Plus, the upgraded AM/FM radio is barely noticed in this highly-correct presentation because its a retrosound unit. The dual-spoke RS steering wheel gives you a clear view to the large speedo and tach (and yes, this has the correct Z/28 higher redline unit.) This is a real-deal Z-car, and so it will excite you to know it has whats believed to be the original 350 cubic-inch V8 is still under the hood (it even has the correct CTC suffix code.) This tidy setup has the look of authenticity everywhere from the bold paint on the block to the Keep Your GM Car All GM decal on the air topper. More than just a terrific presentation, you want this Z/28 because it knows how to move. These were built to dominate the Trans Am series, so you get a big four-barrel carburetor, solid lifters, and higher compression (another 1970-only desirable feature.) And the TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is a stout unit built to handle this muscle. Youll love the growl this coupe makes, and you should also follow the exhausts path in the undercarriage photos. There youll see more authenticity, including the sports suspension, front disc brakes, and sway bars front & rear. Complete with owners manual and build receipts, this is a very desirable year for a Z-car. So if youre looking for a true classic muscle machine, dont let this one slip away. Call now!
This mean 1970 Camaro definitely has the right aggressive look. And its more than just skin deep, too, with a performance big block under the hood, a classic black bucket seat interior, and a ton of personality to be the Camaro youve always dreamed of owning. Blue is a fine factory color for 1970, but it just would not do this mean machine justice. Thats why it has been given a professional respray to the color reserved for the best Camaros Hugger Orange. But you love this one for more than just iconic paintwork. The dual black stripe package is cleared in with the orange, and they help accent both the upgraded cowl induction hood and the spoiler that runs end-to-end over the rear. This classic aggressive appearance is continued with the Z/28 rally wheels, deep chin spoiler up front, dual split RS bumpers that make way for the large blacked-out grille. So this is true intimidation for the streets exactly what you want from a classic Camaro. The black accents of the exterior are also a nice preview of the interior. Camaro fans will take particular notice of the bucket seats. 1970 was the first year of the second-generation Camaros, and these low-back bucket seats with intricate weave pattern were only offered this year. You also get the factory center console with the iconic horseshoe shifter in the middle. This is a nice place to spend some time with the upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo and provisions for air conditioning. And like any proper Camaro, this is a true drivers machine. Youll slip behind the sporty NK4 steering wheel, and it gives you an easy view of the full readouts, including large speedo and tach. The engine bay is filled with serious big block power. This 396 cubic-inch V8 has the right go-fast upgrades, such as a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer intake, and MSD ignition. Theres even an aluminum radiator to keep it all running cool. This has ferocious power, and the growl of the glasspack-style dual exhaust lets everyone know it with its rumble. Plus, Hotchkis subframe connectors add the rigidity to the package. While this is a mean machine, it also knows how to hit the boulevard. The three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes make this big block an easy cruiser, too. When you look at the color combo, the interior comfort, and all-out power, you know this is an amazing classic Camaro. So dont let this opportunity slip away, call today!
Youd usually expect to pay a ton more for a 1970 Chevrolet Camaro with a performance motor and a custom look. So dig into the details on everything (including the stroker V8) to discover a very cool and powerful coupe. This Camaro is close to its original shade of Astro Blue, except a more modern clearcoat application gives it that extra pop that will let them see you coming from a block away. Thats whats needed on a car like this. After all, you get the great classic curves for the first-year second-gen Camaro. And it even has the iconic touches like the full-width spoiler and RS-style split-bumper upgrade. But theres an added attention factor from a ton of custom elements that really make this a standout. The custom cowl hood with locking pins, color-matched deep chin spoiler, and bright 15-inch Centerline wheels give this a look all its own. Inside is a great vintage Camaro look with all the right upgrades for comfort and performance. It starts with a sporty black interior with upgraded bucket seats. The modern bolstering and large headrests keeps this classic all-day comfortable. Theres even an AM/FM/CD stereo with upgraded speakers for the best in modern tunes. This one also will give you that unmistakable tingle of performance the moment your right hand grabs the iconic horseshoe shifter. And just ahead of that, the white-faced auxiliary gauges draw your attention in all this darkness. While there have been some nice investments inside and out, the greatest one is under the hood. There was over $7k invested in upgrading the performance of this Camaro. It starts with the 383 cubic-inch stroker motor. In fact, this V8 has been enhanced further with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock performer intake, and headers that add power while also contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust. Plus, youll love that this has all the right supporting components, like an HEI distributor, good hoses, and an aluminum radiator. Getting the most out of this performance setup is the TH350 three-speed automatic that has been given a B&M stall to keep you in the optimal powerband. Plus, with power steering and front disc brakes, this powerful coupe is easy to keep in control. The sale comes complete with the owners manual, maintenance records, service manuals, and receipt for the full engine build. This is the powerful and distinct classic offered for quite an obtainable price. Dont miss out, call today!

Why This Car Is Special The first year for the second generation of Camaro, the 1970 has many one year features and is highly collectible. The Z28, SS and RS models all had their benefits and their followers. This particular model is badged as a Z28; the high revving track car of the group. Mechanical The 350 CID V8 is mildly built with an Edelbrock intake, Quick Fuel Technologies 4-barrel carburetor, a mild cam and full-length headers running to 3 dual exhaust with an h-pipe and mufflers. It has a great sound! The engine is backed up by a stout Turbo 400 automatic transmission. The power is then transferred to a 10-bolt rear end with a 3.73 locking differential and traction bars. This ensures all of that power gets to the ground! Power steering and power brakes make cruising in this Camaro as easy and can be. The shifting is handled through a B&M shifter mounted in the stock center console. Interior The interior is done in black vinyl with only minor changes from stock. Those changes being a JVC AM/FM/CD player, additional gauges in the center console, and the B&M shifter. It has the correct one year only headrests on the bucket seats and comes equipped with seat belts and the Z28 badge on the steering wheel. The 150 MPH speedometer was also a one-year feature, and this 1970 has it. The trunk is solid and nicely painted with correct spatter paint, as it would have been from the factory. The bucket seats are comfortable and sporty. Exterior The Camaro is painted in the very desirable Hugger Orange with Black rally stripes that looks phenomenal on these split bumper Camaros. Correct rally wheels are retained, and front and rear spoilers complete the muscle car look. A steel cowl hood has been added to this Camaro to give it an even tougher look. To give this Chevy the ultimate nameplate, Z28 badges have been added to the grill, taillight panel and fenders. It has a killer stance and looks tough from every angle. You can even see the traction bars peeking out from in front of the rear tires, letting onlookers know that this car isnt just pretty, its ready to roll! 1970 was the first year for the Second Generation of Camaro and what a way to kick it off! This car is pure muscle and is a great investment as these 1970-1973 Camaros keep climbing in value. EXTERIOR: The body and paint work is outstanding on this car. I use the term often that it looks like glass this one literally is like a mirror. The stripes are so smooth you dont feel them. The car is slick as can be front to back, top to bottom. Jambs are just as slick. Body panels fit real nice, theres not a ripple. 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 RS Original Roger Penske Day 2 car, NCRS paperwork, NOM Motor and Tranny. Nice build on motor. Penske providence is just that, where it was originally purchased. No evidence that it was modified by anyone other than the original owner. Some over the counter Motion items. You know this is a tight body Camaro Z28 as it is in about 75% of its original Citrus Green paint (with the majority of the other 25% the hood which was painted at Penske with original lacquer). All the looks and history of a Baldwin Motion Camaro, but at a fraction of the cost. Not a supercar but far from a clone. The real deal Day2 low mile cruiser. As someone here said So Real Its Scary as a Day 2 Camaro. The L88 hood, traction action bars, sidepipes and Rims were added as I understand by the first owner shortly after buying this Camaro. Traction bars - check, L88 hood - check, T-Handle Hurst - check, Cragar SS - check ready to relive youth! Very much a period-piece although back then, I always wondered why take a road-racing style of car and make it into a drag-racer? Drag racing is what MOPARs were for. But, a nice car thats going to make someone in their late 50s early 60s very happy GLWS.It has been years since I have seen side pipes and an L-88 scoop. These are my favorite F bodies.I saw this and hoped for traction bars. Was not disappointed. Great investment opportunity that you will enjoy as it increases in value.
