After a two-year hiatus that had Z28 fans lamenting the loss of a potent drivers car, a surprise announcement was made in early 1977 that the Z28 would be re-introduced mid-year, but not just as an RPO engine option. It would become its own specific model. True to its heritage, it would have upgrades to the engine, but would also focus on suspension improvements and styling enhancements. People jumped up and ran to their dealerships to get dibs on one of only about 14,000 that would be produced that year. This is a two-owner, numbers matching car with documented mileage. Check it out. This car is presented in the factory correct Silver Metallic with Orange and Black stripes. A mid-life respray kept the colors correct, but in the process, the vinyl stripes on the hood and the Z28 badging were recreated in paint. It still looks great and holds a shine well. This was the last of the uncovered bumper cars before switching to the soft nose look and that dictated a deep chin spoiler that was unique to the year. The factory blackout treatment looks great on the grill with the Z28 badge in silver and orange as well as in the headlight and marker light recesses. Window trim and light bezels were anodized black and the rockers as well as the back panel between the taillights were blacked out and trimmed in orange. The aluminum bumpers had a black rub strip and along with the dual review mirrors came painted in the color of the car. The black interior of this car is essentially unrestored original. The only change made was an aftermarket Alpine stereo in the dash, but the original radio is in the trunk. GM did a nice job with these door panels with pleating pressed into the upper section, a nice long armrest that is comfortable on long cruises and big door pockets in the bottom. A four-spoke steering wheel has a Z28 horn button and sits on a tilt column in front of a nice wood tone dash panel. The speedo and tach are clearly visible on each side of center with the engine gauges and controls symmetrically arrayed on either side of them. The upper dash pad is in great shape with no cracks and the odometer shows the 101,478 actual miles that are on this car. As this is an unrestored interior, there is a rip in the drivers seat vinyl from normal wear. The shifter for the automatic transmission is mounted in the center console that has a nice storage compartment and armrest also. As a Z28, this is a drivers car, so the engine and chassis were upgraded in order to live up to its billing. The engine is the original, numbers matching unit with a Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor and an upgraded camshaft that bumped the power and torque a bit. An aftermarket air cleaner with a chrome top replaces the stock unit on this car, but the original one is in the trunk along with the radio. The only other changes are an aluminum radiator to keep things running cool and Headman headers with a 3 collector leading to Thrush glass pack mufflers for even more power and an awesome sound. The chassis engineers did a nice job by upgrading the springs and shocks both front and rear and adding a beefy front sway bar with matching rear bar to flatten out the handling. 11-inch vented front disc brakes assure good stopping power and the car sits on Kelsey Hayes 5-spoke wheels painted car color with 235/75R15 tires mounted on the rear and 215/75R15s in the front. GM resurrected this Z28 from the ashes of 75 and 76 to live again in the hands of just two owners. Ask your salesperson about the folder full of maintenance receipts. You might decide to become its third owner.
Matching numbers 350 V-8 engine, 4-speed manual transmission, power steering, power disc brakes, Edelbrock mufflers, bucket seats and console, Hurst shifter, CD player, hood scoop, spoiler, 15" 5-spoke rally wheels with BFG tires.

Little old ladys Camaro from California with only 52,033 miles! Exceptionally clean and a very good looker. Bought new by Patricia Miles in Garden Grove California. She sold it in 2006 with 48,596 miles. It was a virtually rust free car with original panels. In 2006 the car was serviced and dressed up with sporty wheels, spoiler, stripes etc. It was completely repainted. Has well over $10,000 in receipts for work that was done. Also has original build sheet and registration. EXTERIOR: Body and paint are awesome. Great colors. The body is mint, fits tight and is arrow straight. The paint is laid out smooth. Polished to a glass finish. Even the jambs and under the trunk were repainted. Z-28 style stripes were painted on. Bumpers are painted. Windshield, window moldings and weatherstrips were replaced. The 15 inch Torque Thrust wheels and BFG tires still look new. INTERIOR: Inside the car looks virtually new. The dash pad is mint, dash bezel is mint with sparkling chrome. It does have the full rally gauge cluster with tachometer. Nothing is beat up or cut up, even has the original AM-FM radio. The console is mint. Seats have been reupholstered, cushions are firm. Door panels, carpet, headliner etc are in excellent condition. Actually evertyhing is mint- steering wheel, window cranks, mirror, visors etc. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The motor compartment was kept very stock, it even has the California pollution pump intact. There has been a lot of maintenance work documented by the receipts. The air conditioning was serviced- some new parts, updated to R-134 freon. Currently belt is off. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Spotlessly clean metal with a nice coat of spatter paint. Jack is mounted and its original location and has a spare. UNDERSIDE: Rock solid original metal. #s match turbo 350 trans and original rear end still has assembly line crayon marking. Front end looks gone through, ball joints, bushings, springs and shocks. It even has new leaf springs in back and shocks. This is a great looking, exceptionally clean Camaro! 1977 Chevrolet Camaro completely stock except for wheels and tires. Cars does not appear to have ever been in any accidents other than the damage you can see, minor dings and dents. may have had slight front end hit that damaged the front nose a bit, but other than the minor primer spot on the nose, all of the paint seems to be original and in good shape. Vinyl top is perfect without ANY bubbling or bumps in it as a sign of rust. Floorboards and trunk, quarter panels or fenders, rockers, doors do not have any rust. Have not been able to find any rust or signed of body, frame or suspension damage anywhere. Based on overall condition, seems to have been garage kept. Car starts, runs and drives very well. Odometer shows 30K, so I am assuming 130K. Engine dos not appear to any modifications to intake or exhaust system at all. two smog tubes were plugged when purchased, car runs fine, probably would need to be reconnected if you need smog inspection, otherwise catalytic converter , smog pump, everything is in place. Factory air is all there and operational with 134a conversion. Blows cold. Interior is very nice, dash looks very good, front seats were completely redone, as was the carpet and headliner, rear seats look perfect, I doubt they have been sat in ever, specially based on the condition of the build sheet stuffed in rear seat. Everything works except for the radio, I have not looked into it, front calipers were rebuilt, and new pads installed.
