The Concours d'Elegance of Texas, Texas Tour & Track Day presented by Six Flags Over Texas Breakfast at Six Flags Over Texas 7:30 - 8:30am with departure at 8:45am for Cresol Motorsport Ranch
Come join us for the first annual "Tour and Track Day" presented by Six Flags Over Texas! The day starts off with a fun breakfast starring Bugs Bunny and several of the famous Looney Tune characters, then departing promptly at 8:45am with a police escorted tour of the North Texas countryside, driving non-stop on a 41 mile route through wildflowers and Bluebonnets that leaves the big city behind.
Once at the Motorsport Ranch, enjoy a "spirited" lap around the track ending up at the main clubhouse to start the track portion of the day. Think of Motorsport Ranch as a place that its members go to satisfy that "need for speed". The Ranch is a place to explore the potential of these cars and for the drivers to develop and practice their skills.
At this point you will move on to begin the experience you signed up for in advance. There are two options, or you can even participate in BOTH if you prefer!
Option 1, is the "COT Track Experience" where you will learn to drive your classic car on a professional track. This is a mix of a classroom setting and track time, taught by professional race drivers, it's not only fun but educational at the same time. Option 2, is the "Drive Exotic" program, you'll have the opportunity to drive one of the club owned cars, choose from a Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche 911, Audi R8, or a Nissan GTR. We will put you behind the wheel of exotic and performance cars on our 1.3 mile race track. Option 3, is a special day just for those who would really rather NOT spend the day burning rubber and watching cars zip around the track. We have developed a special day visiting the Ft. Worth Botanical Gardens and a fabulous local antique mall that you will surely discover new hidden treasures to bring home. A luxury bus will take you from the breakfast at Six Flags to these venues and then meet the boys back at the convention center at days end.
Also included at the track will be access to a private museum collection of Hollywood and Television cars, rarely seen off the silver screen As well as one of the premiere collections of early (pre-Corvette) fiberglass cars. You can tour the spacious track facilities including several top maintenance and restoration shops and lunch for everyone is included with all package options. Finally we are working with several luxury and exotic car brands to bring you an exclusive look at a few of the hottest new cars just now hitting the market. 6th Annual Concours d'Elegance of Texas
9:00am to 4:30pm - Richard Greene Linear Park (Entrance and parking will be next door, at the Arlington Convention Center, 1200 Ballpark Way, for $5 per vehicle)
A world-class gathering of selected vintage motorcars in a glorious lakeside setting overlooking the Caelum Moor Sculptures. With a lake on its north side, Rangers Ballpark to the east and AT&T Stadium to the west, Richard Greene Linear Park owes its essence as a greenway in the middle of Arlington's famous entertainment district to the Johnson Creek Ecosystem Restoration project. The Project, which includes a creek restoration, stream bank stabilization, development of a two mile hike and bike trail, and ecosystem enhancements, was such a success that it not only won a National Park Design Award by the National Recreation and Park Association; it was selected as the site for the Caelum Moor Environmental Sculptures.
