2000 Plymouth Prowler for Sale. Hot Rodders, heres the best of both worlds for those who are looking for a nostalgia look and still have the modern convenience of a late model car. Plymouth designed and built these cars to replicate the cars that popped up after World War II as young guys returning home started modifying street cars and built cars for cruising. 1932 to 1934 Fords were popular and built as high boys, just body, motor and transmission, no fenders. Plymouth came up with this novel idea to build a similar looking car but refine it slightly for customers that wanted a special ride. Constructed and built on a much lighter aluminum chassis, this more modern Street Rod is sleek and streamlined. Fenders were added to make the car more driver friendly and able to cope with bad weather if necessary. Note the front two fenders mounted to the back of the wheels turning as the wheels turn. Similarly, a fold away soft top disappears into the deck lid giving the car a clean appearance. Its powered by Plymouths 3.5L V6 with an automatic transmission making this lightweight cruiser very responsive. Key features such as power steering, air conditioning, power windows, power locks, cruise control, and tilt steering column were added for driver comfort. The sounds are supplied by a Kenwood Stereo AM/FM/CD player. The car is further accented by a chrome treatment kit to the front suspension. The car is designed with an aggressive stance with factory supplied chrome mags carrying Goodyear Eagle GTs in 225/45R 17s front and 295/40ZR 20s on the rear. Dont miss this unique vehicle!

Start your new adventure today!Automotive History / Fun Facts:As a variant of body-on-frame construction, the Woodie as a utility vehicle or station wagon originated from the early practice of manufacturing the passenger compartment portion of a vehicle in hardwood. Woodies were popular in the United States and were produced as variants of sedans and convertibles as well as station wagons, from basic to luxury. They were typically manufactured as third-party conversions of regular vehicles some by large, reputable coach building firms and others by local carpenters and craftsmen for individual customers. They could be austere vehicles, with side curtains in lieu of roll-up windows (e.g., the 1932 Ford) and sold in limited numbers (e.g., Ford sold 1654 woodie wagons). Eventually, bodies constructed entirely in steel supplanted wood construction for reasons of strength, cost, safety, and durability. The Ford Model A was the second huge success for the Ford Motor Company, after its predecessor, the Model T. First produced on October 20, 1927, but not sold until December 2, it replaced the venerable Model T, which had been produced for 18 years. Model A production ended in March, 1932, after 4,858,644 had been made in all body styles.

Automotive History:The Jeep CJ-8 was a long wheel-base version of the CJ-7, introduced in 1981 and manufactured through 1986. It featured a 103 in (2,616 mm) wheelbase and a removable half-cab, creating a small pick-up style box instead of utilizing a separate pickup bed. CJ-8s used the traditional transfer case with manual front-locking hubs to engage the four-wheel drive. Most had either a four or five speed manual transmission, but a three speed automatic transmission was an option. The term "Scrambler" comes from an appearance package that many CJ-8s were equipped with, which included tape graphics and special wheels. Former President Ronald Reagan owned a CJ-8 and used it on his California Ranch.A full length steel hardtop CJ-8 was made for the Alaskan Postal Service, using right hand drive and automatic transmissions. Instead of the rear tailgate, the steel hardtop utilized a hinged barn door opening to the back. There were only 230 produced and sold in the U.S. It was also widely sold in Venezuela and Australia as the CJ8 Overlander, with small differences including full length rear windows on the Overlander.Steel hardtops used on these postal Scramblers and Overlanders were known as "World Cab" tops.

There were also five non-U.S. Camaro assembly plants in countries that required local assembly and content. These plants were located in the Philippines, Belgium, Switzerland, Venezuela, and Peru. The Camaros standard drive train was either a 230 cu in (3.8 L) straight-6 engine rated at 140 hp (104 kW) or a 327 cu in (5.4 L) (307 cu in (5.0 L) later in 1969) V8 engine, with a standard three-speed manual transmission. There were 8 (in 1967), 10 (in 1968), and 12 (in 1969) different engines available in 1967-1969 Camaros. There were several optional transmissions. A four-speed manual was available with any engine. The two-speed "Powerglide" automatic transmission was available all three years. The three-speed "Turbo Hydra-Matic 350" automatic became available starting in 1969. The Mid-Year corvettes are undeniably the most exciting Corvette ever built and this beautiful example is ready for fun!!!Mid Year Corvette History:The 1963 Sting Ray production cars lineage can be traced to two separate GM projects: the Q-Corvette, and perhaps more directly, Mitchells racing Sting Ray. The Q-Corvette, initiated in 1957, envisioned a smaller, more advanced Corvette as a coupe-only model, boasting a rear transaxle, independent rear suspension, and four-wheel disc brakes, with the rear brakes mounted inboard. Exterior styling was purposeful, with peaked fenders, a long nose, and a short, bobbed tail.Meanwhile, Zora Arkus-Duntov and other GM engineers had become fascinated with mid and rear-engine designs. It was during the Corvairs development that Duntov took the mid/rear-engine layout to its limits in the CERV I concept. The Chevrolet Experimental Research Vehicle was a lightweight, open-wheel single-seat racer. A rear-engined Corvette was briefly considered during 1958 60, progressing as far as a full-scale mock-up designed around the Corvairs entire rear-mounted power package, including its complicated air-cooled flat-six as an alternative to the Corvettes usual water-cooled V-8. By the fall of 1959, elements of the Q-Corvette and the Sting Ray Special racer would be incorporated into experimental project XP-720, which was the design program that led directly to the production 1963 Corvette Sting Ray. The XP-720 sought to deliver improved passenger accommodation, more luggage space, and superior ride and handling over previous Corvettes. While Duntov was developing an innovative new chassis for the 1963 Corvette, designers were adapting and refining the basic look of the racing Sting Ray for the production model. A fully functional space buck (a wooden mock-up created to work out interior dimensions) was completed by early 1960, production coupe styling was locked up for the most part by April, and the interior, instrument panel included was in place by November. Only in the fall of 1960 did the designers turn their creative attention to a new version of the traditional Corvette convertible and, still later, its detachable hardtop. For the first time in the Corvettes history, wind tunnel testing helped refine the final shape, as did practical matters like interior space, windshield curvatures, and tooling limitations. Both body styles were extensively evaluated as production-ready 3/8-scale models at the Caltech wind tunnel.

1973 Ford Mustang Convertible for Sale. H Code 351 Cleveland V8 engine, 4 barrel carburetor and intake upgrades, dual exhaust, power steering, front power disc brakes, highly detailed engine bay, NASA scooped hood, light blue exterior, white power convertible top with glass rear window, white top boot, 15 Magnum 500 wheels with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires, color-keyed sport mirrors, drivers remote mirror, blue bucket seat interior, center console, tilt steering column. Ready for fun in the sun! This is one beautiful Mustang Convertible! Automotive History:1973 brought some mild restyling. The urethane front bumper became standard and was enlarged in accordance with new NHTSA standards. All Mustang models had their sports lamps re-purposed as turn signals, as the new bumper covered part of the front valance (and therefore the previous turn signal location). These new lamps - unlike their 1971/72 counterparts. The 1973 model year Mustang was the final version of the original pony car, as the model name migrated to the economy, Ford Pinto-based Mustang II the next year. Convertibles were equipped with a power top and a glass rear window. The 1973 models were the last Mustangs available as a convertible until 1982- the 83 model yearThe Mustangs success left General Motors unprepared. Chrysler introduced the Plymouth Barracuda a few weeks before the Mustang, and although it was later redesigned as a distinct "pony car", it was initially a modified Plymouth Valiant. However, the "fish car" did not enjoy as strong a market demand as Fords "pony". General Motors executives thought the rear-engined Chevrolet Corvair Monza would compete against the Mustang, but it also sold poorly by comparison. The Monza performed well, but lacked a V8 engine and its reputation was tarnished by Ralph Nader in his book Unsafe At Any Speed. It took GM until the 1967 model year to counter with the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird. Lincoln-Mercury joined the competition in 1966 with the Mercury Cougar, an "upmarket Mustang" and subsequent Motor Trend Car of the Year.
