At the time of its golden anniversary in 2022, Porsche Classic had just finished restoring a 50-year-old black 911 S 2.4 Targa. In turn, that car inspired the celebratory 992-generation Targa 4 GTS Edition 50 Years Porsche Design.
From a limited production run of 750 cars, this example honours the 1972 Targa courtesy of its triple Black colour scheme. The Black paintwork and Black folding roof section are accompanied by a Black leather interior. The cabin additionally features Slate Grey stitching and Black and Cool Grey fabric Sport-Tex seat centres.
Notable optional equipment on this car includes a leather-wrapped heated GT Sport steering wheel, heated front seats, under-door light puddle lamp projectors, plus rear-axle steering and a front-axle lift system.
Delivered new to The Porsche Heritage Collection in Italy via Porsche Centro Firenze in November 2022, this single-owner 2023 model year Targa 4 GTS benefits from a February 2025 service by its supplying dealership. It displayed just 2,556 kilometres at the time of cataloguing.
