Classic Car Overview

To Be OFFERED AT AUCTION WITHOUT RESERVE at RM Sothebys The Monterey Auction event, 13 - 15 August 2026.
Offered Without Reserve $150,000 - $200,000 USD

  • McLarens lighter and more agile successor to the 570S GT4
  • Powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter wide-angle V-6 rated at 577 hp
  • Full carbon fiber monocoque, seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, and mechanical limited-slip differential
  • A race-proven thoroughbred, ideal for competition or track days

McLaren Motorsport followed up its multi-championship-winning 570S GT4 with the Artura GT4, unveiled in June 2022 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in Sussex, England. The racecar made its competition debut the following January at the 2023 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, a support race for the 24 Hours of Daytona.

More than 220 pounds lighter than the preceding 570S GT4, with enhanced durability and serviceability, the Artura GT4 shares much of its technology with the Artura road car, which debuted an all-new motorsport-inspired chassis with a carbon fiber monocoque, whose incredible rigidity allows the suspension to work more efficiently while providing a broad setup envelope and extremely safe driving environment.

Powering the Artura GT4 is a twin-turbo V-6 featuring a wide-angle cylinder bank that accommodates both turbochargers within the V for more compact packaging, reduced weight, and less turbo lag. Lighter and smaller than the V-8 engine in the preceding 570S GT4, the V-6 improves the cars power-to-weight ratio, center of gravity, and weight distribution. Per GT4 racing regulations, the road cars hybrid electric motor and battery pack are not allowed, so the Artura GT4 eschews both, saving more than 280 pounds in the process. A large racing fuel cell and ancillary components for the drive system occupy the space within the monocoque where the hybrid battery is usually located. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox with optimized ratios.

While the 570S GT4 relied on an electronic stability program and brake-steer system to manage traction, the Artura uses a mechanical limited-slip differential instead for better traction at the rear and reduced brake wear. Up front, wider wheels improve grip, while low-friction, two-way adjustable motorsport dampers all around give more precise control over handling characteristics. Driver aids include motorsport-specific antilock braking and traction control systems with adjustment for different conditions.

Improvements in aerodynamic downforce come with a special front splitter, dive planes, and air ducts in the hood. A high-efficiency rear wing with seven angle settings to cover a wide spectrum of circuit types is mounted directly to the chassis so the rear bodywork can be removed without dismantling it. Meanwhile, the removable front hood offers easier access to the fuel cell and pumps. A long list of options includes seats of various sizes for both driver and passenger, a tire pressure monitoring system, V-Box telemetry, collision avoidance radar, and a data pack with laser ride height sensors, damper potentiometers, brake infrared sensors, additional lights for night racing, and a drinks system.

Fielded by private teams with the support of McLaren Customer Racing, examples of the Artura GT4 have seized numerous podium finishes, including winning the Grand Sport class at the 2025 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge at Daytona. This example offers a blank canvas for its next owner, who may apply the livery of his or her choosing and enter full force into the fray of competition, or simply enjoy it on special, private outings at any number of circuits.
