The 2022 Corvette C8.R Special Edition was Chevrolets way of celebrating the incredible success of the factory Corvette Racing C8.R race car, which competed in endurance races around the world, including the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. The package included exclusive graphics inspired by the race cars, unique C8.R badging, special interior stitching, yellow seat belts, a serialized plaque, and several appearance items that were not available together on a standard Stingray. It was offered in Accelerate Yellow or Hypersonic Gray, the same colors used on the championship-winning race cars.

For 2022, Chevrolet produced 1,000 C8.R Special Editions, with approximately 500 finished in Accelerate Yellow and 500 in Hypersonic Gray. It is one of the most highly collected and sought after Corvettes in the history of the product line.

The C8.R Edition is important to Corvette enthusiasts because it directly connects the street car to Corvette Racings championship-winning heritage. Corvette has always used racing to develop better production cars, and this special edition celebrates that tradition.
