THE ACURA NSX

The long awaited second generation of the Acura NSX was first unveiled at the 2012 North American International Auto Show. While the new model retained the 'NSX' moniker of the original 90s icon, this new design was thoroughly cutting-edge. Following in the footsteps of hypercars like the Porsche 918 and the McLaren P1, the new NSX featured a hybrid drivetrain that not only enhanced fuel economy but also delivered truly electric performance pun very much intended. In the spirit of the original, the new NSX also featured a 3.5L V6 engine behind the seats, this time working in tandem with 3 electric motors delivering a combined 573 horsepower to all four wheels utilizing a new 'Super-Handling-All-Wheel-Drive' system.

In late 2021, an upgraded variant called the 'Type-S' was revealed which benefitted from an increased power figure of 600bhp. A mere 350 Type-S models were built before the NSX was discontinued in late 2022.
