The now legendary 5.0 emblem is on the front and 19-inch performance pack black wheels create a slightly sinister vibe, and they pick up on the black accents. The car wears Nitto tires with drag radials in the back, all with a 2022 date code. Tri bar tail lights flank a glossy black panel, and the bottom diffuser houses a reverse light and makes room for dual quad exhaust tips. You might at first confuse the red plaque in the grille as a Roush emblem but look closer and it shows a coyote which of course, correlates to the 5.0 under the hood. What it doesnt show is the steroids the canine might have ingested. As far as imperfections are concerned, one of the rocker stripes is peeling a bit and there are the obligatory scrapes on the front chin spoiler. Interior Were thrilled to find a Mustang with something other than a black interior and the custom Katzkin interior starts with saddle inserts on the door panels. The saddle leather buckets seats are in excellent condition and contain white stitching for some extra aesthetic appeal. The 2+2 seats in the back look factory fresh and theres a good chance no one has been back there! The cars steering wheel is sporty and wrapped in black leather, while theres a myriad of thumb controlled buttons on and around the spokes of the wheel. Beyond that, two round gauges face the driver showing RPM and MPH on each side of a digital readout panel. A digital N-Gauge fits nicely where the left vent would be in the center, while oil pressure and vacuum gauges sit just right. Below is the screen for the AM/FM/CD radio with Bluetooth, XM capability, and Sync. Climate controls follow on the center stack and then some drive configuration toggle switches next to the start button. The automatic shifter, cup holders with accent lighting, and armrest take up the center console while the low pile black carpet, protected by WeatherTech mats, and the headliner all look very clean. Drivetrain An open air element and supercharger get our attention when we open the hood where we also find the 5.0 liter V8. The Vortech supercharger is not the only addition as there are also upgraded oil pump gears, 1050 injectors, and a 3.40 supercharger pulley that makes 10 pounds of boost. The 10-speed automatic transmission was replaced by Ford under warranty and the current unit is covered until 2025. In the back, 3.73 gears are housed and naturally, power disc brakes occupy front and rear. Stainless Power headers begin the Coyotes exhale process. Undercarriage Super clean underneath with minimal surface rust and no leaks anywhere. The 3-inch AWE exhaust finds its way into IBO Technology mufflers and then exits via dual chrome tips that you could drive a Miata through. MacPherson struts are up front and independent suspension with a multi-link is out back. No runs, no drips, no error underneath, its clean. Drive-Ability Once again, we issue an apology to our beloved Morgantown livestock who may have been disturbed by the raucous exhaust that blares from this car. Well keep our drive short so you can return to grazing the green pastures of rural Pennsylvania. The sound gives away the cars relative sleeper status, even if the number on the hood already did. Theres astounding power underfoot but were here to check functionality, not mile times, but for those interested, the consignor states the car ran a 9.92 at 141 mph.
