Badges, call outs, and decals dot each side of this car and tell the story of a prized motorcar, not just a tool of travel and as a babied bambino, we were not surprised to find no exterior imperfections. Interior Theres drama on the inside too where things start off somewhat basically with black door panels with brushed aluminum handles, clean, efficient, and simple. But then things get a little wild with channeled tuck and roll inserts in bright red leather, surrounded by red stitched black, topped by a tall headrest, and wearing the ABARTH name. The sport steering wheel has more thumb controls than a Nintendo game boy and leads to an exciting instrument cluster that puts a red faced electronic tachometer between two black faced units. The dash pad is stitched red, the vents are ringed in red, and a center screen shows navigation, AM/FM radio that is Bluetooth and XM compatible. Mounted next to the automatic shifter are lap stopwatches and even if you never use them, theyre pretty darn impressive. Clean black carpet floods the floor with Abarth scorpion mats for protection, and the finished trunk has a rubber mat and cargo net. Drivetrain More decals and red features highlight the clean engine bay where we find the 1.4 liter DOHC turbocharged inline four cylinder, spooling out 170 horsepower and mated to an Aisin 6-speed automatic transmission with optional paddle shifter/manual, which routes power to the rear axle with 3.58 gears and limited slip. Undercarriage Spotless underneath, (other than water spots), where bright red calipers mix with yellow Bilstein shocks and the overall black coverage. Bilstein performance suspension aids the double wishbone in front and multilink in back while Brembos are on board for the power disc brakes on all four corners. The exhaust flows through a Record Monza muffler which expels four tailpipes resulting in a sporty quartet of chrome tips out back. Drive-Ability No complaints here as this is a quick, nimble, and capable sports car, and this one has air conditioning and air bags to improve your driving experience. The seats are comfortable and the cabin is accommodating while the exhaust note is one you want to keep going. All functions availed of this little Italian operate as expected.
