The Corvette ZR1 is a legendary high-performance variant of the Corvette that has become a sought-after icon praised for its street-legal, track-focused capabilities. The history of the ZR1 is a testament to GMs commitment to pushing the limits of performance and engineering. The ZR1 name first appeared on the third-generation Corvette, introduced in 1970 as a special high-performance package aimed at racing enthusiasts. Based on the LT1 engine, it produced 370 horsepower and was paired with track-ready components such as a Muncie M22 Rock Crusher four-speed manual transmission, heavy duty brakes, and an upgraded suspension. Only 53 of these examples were built between 70 and 72. After a long hiatus, the ZR1 badging would return in 1990, this time with an LT5 engine that produced 405 horsepower. Discontinued in 1995, the ZR1 would then be offered from 2009 to 2013, and then again in 2019.

The most extreme iteration of the famed ZR1 badge, the 2019 version, like this one, became something to be feared on the streets and track. Often regarded as one of the best performance Corvettes ever to hit the blacktop, this ZR1 is 1 of just 2,441 examples produced. Finished in one of the more desirable factory shades, Sebring Orange Tintcoat, this ZR1 has traveled just 573 miles from new and is accompanied by a clean CARFAX report and its window sticker. Well optioned, it is equipped with the ZR1 Sebring Orange Design Package, which further transforms this Vette into a unique example with painted calipers, ground effects, carbon flash painted aluminum wheels, and various other items and appointments like lightweight carbon fiber components.

Based on the C7 platform, this example is equipped with a boundary pushing 6.2-liter supercharged V-8 LT5 engine that produces an astonishing 755 horsepower and 715 Ib-ft of torque. The Eaton supercharger on this ZR1 is 52 percent larger than the one found on the Z06, and its performance on the track and street clearly demonstrate that.

While already impressive, this example is taken to another level as it is equipped with the ZTK Track Performance Package, which adds to the high-speed handling and grip. The package includes a two-way adjustable high rear wing, with the spring rates 30 percent higher in the front and 13 percent higher in the rear. The ZTK package also incorporates 60 percent more downforce than Z07 Performance package. Adding to its desirable track performance, it is equipped with an optional eight-speed paddle shift automatic transmission, allowing for the driver to focus on dominating curves and straightaways.

More than just a car built for speed, this example is equipped with the optional $10,000 3ZR Premium Equipment Group, which puts its occupants at top of mind. Loaded with a long list of options, some items in the comfort package include heated and ventilated power-adjustable GT bucket seats upholstered in Jet Black leather and suede microfiber with orange stitching, a high-gloss carbon fiber instrument panel, carbon fiber and suede leather wrapped steering wheel, front curb-view cameras, a back-up camera, a Bose sound system, keyless entry and start, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation.

This track-focused, street-legal ZR1, capable of reaching 212 miles per hour, truly is one of the best performance Corvettes to ever be made. Well equipped, finished in desirable Sebring Orange Tintcoat, and showing just 573 miles from new, this ZR1 ZTK 3ZR represents the pinnacle of front-engine Corvette performance and offers the next owner an exhilarating driving experience few modern sports cars can rival.
