2018 Chevrolet Camaro COPO
With all the hoopla surrounding the new Camaro 1LE, let's look back at the original.
The story of the ZL1 Camaro, fitted with that rarest of the rare, all-aluminum 427 big-block V-8, is one that has often been told: How only 69 were made, how they exploited the GM option-ordering system, and how they've become the Camaro guy's ultimate Camaro.
Classic Car Overview
2018 Chevrolet COPO Camaro
Vehicle is located in Billings, MTGM uses the term COPO (Central Office Production Orders) mainly for fleet sales. Back in 1969, thanks to a bit of manipulation, certain Chevrolets could be ordered with engines not generally available to the public. In that year 69 COPO Camaros were built. As in 1969, Chevy has created another fleet of 69 each year since 2012.
The 2018 COPO Camaro continues the tradition of the COPO Camaro at Chevrolet. This is a raw, powerful, purpose-built Camaro designed to dominate in NHRA Stock Eliminator drag racing. This car comes complete and ready for action. This COPO Camaro race car was built by hand starting with production hardware, including the same body used for production models. Fitted with an NHRA-approved roll cage and other safety equipment, along with a racing chassis and suspension components, it also includes a solid rear axle system in place of a regular production Camaro's independent rear axle.
These COPO Camaro's are not available to order from your local Chevrolet dealership and are extremely hard to come by. Now is your chance to own a piece of American muscle car history!

I was the lucky lottery winner and personally visited the
COPO build center in Oxford Michigan and inspected it prior to shipment. I have all the original factory build
documentation, special COPO binders, a race jacket (xl), and car cover.

Also included is carbon fiber hood, up-level matte Grey Bogart racing wheels, black bow ties on the front and rear, darkened tail lights and CHIMSL and clear side maker lamps front and back. In front of those seats, an amazingly simple vinyl dash has all the necessary controls, power switches for fuel, electrical power, pump, start, engine fan, tach w/ shift light and power windows! Beneath the dash, fresh carpet frames a competition Hurst shifter. In the trunk, there are dual batteries and an aluminum fuel cell.
