A Roundup of the Best New Cars Revealed at Pebble Beach

After an 18-year hiatus, BMW has revived the 8 Series name with the BMW Concept 8 Series. The automaker's new flagship model could help the manufacturer compete against Mercedes-Benz, which overtook BMW last year as the world's largest luxury automaker.

Given that the 21st century has seen a sort of return to the roots aspect for the Mustang, it was probably only a matter of time before the Boss 302 made a return. Over the last few years there's been steady and growing interest in the concept of a new-age Trans Am Special.

Classic Car Overview

2012 Cayman R - 22,078 miles. Excellent condition. Paint color just corrected for $800 to look new, remove all chips and swirls. PDK. Chrono. Bi-Xenon. Bose audio w/ bluetooth, nav and XM radio. Sports bucket seats. Four new Michelin Sports Cup 2. Just serviced. GT3 master brake cylinder (braking power was only thing Porsche overlooked on the R). VIN WP0AC2A81GK191812 If you are considering a Cayman S, check out the R. It is lighter, more horsepower, better braking and limited production (just a few hundred are made every four years). Up until 2012, the R is the only Cayman with limited slip differential. Motor Trend said about the R, "The power was by far the best I ve felt in a Cayman. It s definitely in 911 territory power-wise." Only draw back they point out is braking power, so I upgraded the brake master cylinder to the GT3. Now it really stops! It's a California car, so it's only known moderate weather and always garaged. I just got my new Porsche GT4, so it is time for the Cayman R to find a new home. While the recent paint correction has left the car looking basically new, there are light scuffs on one bumper corner that can be fixed with sanding and touchup paint for about $500 by a professional. All records. All scheduled maintenance. Always garaged. No accidents. Title in hand. Non-smoker. As low miles indicate, this isn't my daily driver, just a car for cruising on the weekends.
