The RS7 Performance features a smooth 4.0-liter twin-turbo V-8 that delivers an impressive 605 horsepower just five shy of the R8 supercars 5.2-liter V-10. Its 553 lb-ft of torque surpasses the R8 by 140 lb-ft and the standard RS7 by 37 lb-ft. This extra power back then came from a over boost function and upgraded turbocharger turbines, along with revised valve timing, new exhaust valves, different camshafts, higher-efficiency radiators, and a reprogrammed control unit. While the new S8 Plus shares the same 605-hp engine, it focuses more on refinement compared to the more exhilarating RS7. As youd expect, the RS7 Performance offers relentless thrust, ensuring you cant help but smile during high-speed overtakes and full-throttle sprints from stoplights. Navigating sweeping on-ramps is equally exhilarating, thanks to the beautifully designed perforated steering wheel that provides excellent feedback from the meaty front tires. The eight-speed automatic transmission, remapped for this performance variant, eagerly responds to your commands. Unlike many paddle-shifted cars, the RS7 invites you to engage fully with its drivetrain. Shifting is instantaneous and thrilling, with the engine roaring to life with each pull of the paddle. Upshifts translate to rapid acceleration, pushing the speedometer closer to its impressive top speed of 190 mph, while downshifts produce a satisfying surge of power and a fierce burble from the exhaust.
