The F12berlinetta, produced from 2012 to 2017, is one of the most compelling offerings from Ferraris recent portfolio, a coveted modern classic in the making. With elegant styling and a high-revving V-12 engine, it represents a notable upgrade over the preceding 599 GTB Fiorano indeed, many enthusiasts even prefer it over the succeeding 812 Superfast. Notably, it is also Ferraris last production model designed by Pininfarina, after which the Italian automakers Centro Stile took over on subsequent models.
A descendant of the companys revered front-engine, rear-wheel-drive berlinettas from the fifties and sixties, the F12berlinettas remarkable looks and equally remarkable performance combine with an accommodating cabin for effortless, extended driving the perfect flagship grand tourer in true Ferrari fashion. A chassis comprised of 12 different alloys works in conjunction with other weight-saving measures to make the F12berlinetta more than 150 pounds lighter than the 599 GTB Fiorano. Balance and center of gravity are better too, with the engine positioned lower and farther back in the chassis.
Though peak output of 730 horsepower from the naturally aspirated 6.3-liter V-12 is objectively astounding, that number alone does not convey the engines true genius: 80 percent of its power is available from 2,500 rpm, while low-friction internals allow it to quickly rev to a lofty, 8,700-rpm redline and reduce fuel consumption by 30 percent compared to Ferraris previous V-12. Then there is the intoxicating sound as the car catapults from zero to 60 mph in 3.1 seconds toward a top speed of 211 mph, the paddle-shift F1 dual-clutch transaxle dispatching shifts instantaneously.
Ferrari produced 4,657 F12berlinettas, according to historian Marcel Massini, making it rarer than the 812 Superfast. This example was delivered new to Ferrari of Denver and appears to have remained under single ownership in Colorado until 2025. Notably, it stands out with a highly attractive color scheme of Celeste Metallizzato over two-tone Blu Medio and green leather. More than $77,000 in factory options include the Advanced Front Lighting System, headliner, door pockets, and trunk lining in Alcantara, aluminum brake calipers, chromed front grille, color-keyed upper dash and seatbelts, embroidered headrest logos, and Scuderia Ferrari shields.
Showing 3,315 miles at cataloguing time, this remarkable, low-mileage example is said to have benefited from servicing at Blue Chip Services of Denver in November 2023 and is accompanied by factory books in a leather pouch.
The F12berlinetta blends ultimate comfort and refinement with uncompromising power and immediacy, making it incredibly rewarding to drive virtually anywhere, under any circumstance. As one of an increasingly rare breed, powered by a naturally aspirated, non-hybrid V-12, this low-mileage example with its stunning color scheme and numerous factory options is sure to please both the astute collector and hardcore driving enthusiast alike.
