Being a kit car, this car is 99% custom. The 1% being Factory Five's tub-frame chassis, spec'd gloss black powder-coated to prevent rust and gel coat fiberglass body panels. Street legal in the state of Arizona, with State issued VIN AZ359536; this 818R is race track ready too with a tube roll cage. Swapped engine was dynoed at 441WHP. New 6-speed transmission, completely custom wiring harness and ready for Haltech Elite 2500 ECU install.

Engine: The design from Factory Five calls for a Subaru donor, the engine in this 818R is an EJ20T, bored and stroked to a 2.15L. Eagle connecting rods, ACL race main and race rod bearings. Pacaloy valve springs, ARP headstuds and STi crankshaft, Brian Crower Stage 2 272 camshafts. Orbit oil pump; Gates timing belt and water pump. ProcessWest TGV Deletes; GrimmSpeed lightweight pulley; Cusco oil catch can. Blouch TD05H-16GXT; TurboSmart TS-0205-1272 38mm plumb-back atmospheric blow off valve, COBB 3-port boost control solenoid, Perrin turbo inlet tube. Tomei UEL headers and up-pipe, ceramic coated; custom downpipe and exhaust, with custom exhaust hanger.

Fuel/Cooling systems: The Factory Five fuel tank has been upgraded from the stock Subaru fuel pump to a DW200 fuel pump in the fuel tank and DW300 fuel pump in the upgraded Radium Engineering surge tank. Injector Dynamics ID1000 fuel injectors. Koyo Racing aluminum radiator, Mishimoto aluminum coolant expansion tank, Secondary Stewart Electronics 55 GPH electric water pump. FrozenBoost air-to-water intercooler with coolant temp sensor.

Suspension/Handling: Whiteline steering rack and control arm bushings. 2011 STi 6-speed with cryo-treated gears and shafts, carbon synchros, and new bearings. Torsen-style limited slip differential. Exedy racing lightweight flywheel, ACT Xtreme Duty Performance Street Disc Clutch Kit. Factory Five Racing billet aluminum shifter. Zero Decibel bell crank shifter assembly, adapted to 6-speed

Electrical/ECU: Custom iWire Wiring Harness with master kill switch. Upgraded AEM 3.5 bar MAP sensor; upgraded and relocated intake air temperature sensor for accuracy. COBB AccessPort V3 with E54 speed density tune. Fully customizable AiM MXG race dash. Haltech Elite 2500 ECU included, has not been installed. Includes plug-n-play harness from iWire Wiring Harness for easy switching between OEM and standalone ECU. Can be tuned for traction and launch control. Can be tuned for flex fuel. Sensors already installed on the car that will be used with standalone include: Flex fuel sensor, Oil pressure sensor, Oil temperature sensor, Fuel pressure sensor, Wideband O2 sensor, OEM wheel speed sensors

The car currently only runs on 54% Ethanol (a.k.a., E54), but can be easily re-tuned to run pump gas. The 1st gear is a bit difficult to get into; shifter assembly needs adjustment after 5-speed to 6-speed swap. Standalone ECU needs to be mounted and tuned. Fuel tank level does not read; a fuel level voltage modifier is included that can be used with standlone ECU for accurate reading. Seat rails should be welded to the frame to further satisfy race safety requirements.

This car is a labor of love and passion. I spent the last 4 years upgrading just about every part from the donor's stock Subaru component to all the listed products above. The car's fiberglass body still has the gel coat so whatever color scheme you want it is a blank slate to start. This power and improvements made across the board stack this 818R to the brim with potential.
