When the FF broke cover in March 2011, Ferrari shocked tifosi with the grand tourers sleek shooting brake body design that deviated from the berlinetta styling that is still synonymous with the Italian manufacturer. John Elkann was then serving as Chairman of Fiat SpA, parent company to Ferrari, and clearly enjoyed the aesthetic of the new four-wheel-drive model. The New York-born grandson of legendary Fiat leader Gianni Agnelli liked the FF enough to commission his own car, which is offered for sale here.
The attractive Ferrari is instantly recognisable in its distinctive configuration. To accompany the exterior painted in special order Nuovo Blu, the Blu interior exhibits a feature seldom seen in any modern Prancing Horse: cloth seats. The fabric is also finished in Blu to complement the FFs overall colour scheme, while Cavallino logos are stitched into the headrests, white contrast piping lines the upholstery, and Blu carbon fibre trim completes a sporty look. A full-length glass sunroof reinforces the FFs standing as a luxurious and opulent grand tourer.
