2012 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

Gateway Classic Cars of San Antonio/Austin is proud to present this 2012 Ford Mustang GT 500. With the 2012 Shelby GT500 Ford granted most Mustang enthusiasts wishes: more power less weight and better performance. And this one with a big supercharger under the hood is lighter on its feet than its predecessors and transformed what was just a fast Mustang into a legitimate Corvette competitor. Dressed in nasty black without any stripes this Mustang is downright predatory. That big grille on top of the hood isnt just for appearance it helps feed air into the monster 5.4liter supercharged V-8 with the new lighter aluminum block is mated to the only option on the Shelby a 6-speed manual transmission. The GT500 comes with improved cooling systems a bigger intercooler and other measures aimed at keeping it cool and even though the original 550 horsepower is a lot the previous owner needed more and added a smaller pulley for the supercharger to add a little more power. Giant Brembo brakes with ABS stability and traction control are included to help manage the power. That black leather interior includes Cobra embroidery on the Recaro seats and their retro-looking pleated centers. Any Shelby Mustang is already loaded with standard equipment but this one also includes color changing lights for the cluster and an upgraded Pioneer touchscreen radio. Not many cars are as much fun as this one to drive and even the commute to work feels special behind the wheel of this one.
