One of Chevrolets co-founders, Louis Chevrolet, was a fearless race car driver. The Centennial Edition package was inspired by Chevrolets racing heritage along with Corvettes international dominance on the racetrack during the first decade of the 21st century.

The Centennial Edition came finished exclusively in Carbon Flash Metallic with satin-black graphics. Special badging honoring Chevrolets racing history, including an image of Louis Chevrolet on the B-pillars, was added as an accent to the exterior. Additional Centennial graphics appear on the wheel center caps and the center of the steering wheel. The model also received exclusive Centennial Satin Black aluminum wheels, red brake calipers, and unique trim that made it one of the most recognizable and collectible C6 special editions ever produced.
