A collectors item from the moment they were announced, the 2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has always been a desirable coupe. This stellar example still looks terrific inside and out, and it has under 20k miles on the odometer. It makes for a 550-horsepower supercharged supercar that presents the ideal age and care so that you can enjoy it for a few years and watch it gain esteem as a pristine classic. The Kona Blue Metallic on this snake-bitten Mustang reminds us of the original special Shelby pony cars. After all, its no accident this paint name has the same tropical vibe as the first-gen Acapulco Blue cars. And the whole coupe is a great modern representation of what Carroll Shelby did to the original Mustang five decades ago. These cars take the retro-look Mustang coupes and make them more aggressive. The blacked-out grille, hood vents, full body kit, and rear valance make for a perfect dark side. And because you have a deep blue and a dark black, the bright white racing stripe package is an especially bold way to present a Shelby Mustang hallmark. So what you have is a power pony car that ideally blends the best of vintage and new in an exceptionally well-respected package. The interior further unites the color themes. The beautiful black upholstery shows minimal use from low-mileage seat time. So this presently kept leather also shows off the bright white stripes with a high contrast distinction. There are even the little things, like the floor mats not being installed, so you can always lay them down to look extra clean for the car shows. Overall, it has the impression of a car thats stylish, babied, and loaded. This means cold-blowing air conditioning, power windows, power locks, power drivers seat, keyless entry, cruise control, dual front airbags, side airbags, and premium Shaker AM/FM/XM/CD stereo. But the best feature of them all is the way this one engages you. Its in the grip of the leather-wrapped steering wheel, the sight of the deeply recessed gauges, and the feel of the precision shifter. The 5.4-liter modular V8 is a terrific powerplant, and 2011 is the perfect year to pick one up. It was updated with a new motor that inhaled deeper than the previous year, and the block was made of lighter aluminum. So when the supercharger was added, it produced a whopping 550 horsepower. On something this impressive, why mess with perfection? Thats why everything looks fresh and stock on this original motor, right down to the SVT builder tag on the valve cover. In fact, the exhaust was even more recently returned to stock by Ford to make sure this one has the true original feeling. And while this all has a nicely preserved presentation, we know you wont be able to resist teaching a few Corvettes a few lessons on the streets. After all, with the control of the six-speed manual transmission, and the grip of the upgraded sports suspension, this retro-style Mustang is a serious modern performance player. The total control package is capped off with big four-wheel disc brakes (Brembos in the front) and a newer set of grippy Pirelli tires on the special 19-inch SVT alloys. Complete with the owners manual, when a powerful Shelby is this well presented, its a car you can enjoy on sunny days and know that there will still be admirers down the road. Call today!!!
