The Most Desirable Corvette Ever?

The 1967 Corvette is considered the most-loved Corvette ever produced. The combination of classic C2 styling, along with an incredible array of powertrain and comfort options, makes it one of the most desirable Corvettes ever. Not bad for a car that was never supposed to be made!

The ZR-1's production run from 1990-95 was one of the most exciting times for Corvette enthusiasts in recent memory. In the mid-1980s, rumors of a "King of the Hill" Corvette began to leak out of Detroit and into America's speed shops and dealerships.

Classic Car Overview

Car Pros of Lake Norman is selling this vehicle on our consignment program, here is a list from the current owner of all modifications: For sale is a very unique 2011 C6 Z06 Corvette with 3LZ Package in Supersonic Blue. I am the 2nd owner of this Z06 and I purchased when it with approximately 3,900 miles on it. When I purchased this car, I made the decision to fix all of the possible concerns that are common with the LS7 and here is a list of everything that was done. I have pictures and/or written documentation of every item that has been done to this Z06.1. Heads have been fixed. Advanced induction in Concord, NC is well known for fixing the valve guides on the LS7 heads and they also have the best flowing CNC ported heads. Here are the details for the Cylinder Heads:280cc portingCHE Valve guidesStraub Rocker Arm BushingsIntake Valves: OEM Titanium ValvesExhaust Valves: Ferrea Hollow Stem 2042P Stainless Exhaust ValvesBrian Tooley Racing Dual springs with Titanium retainers.APR Head boltsHeads shaved to 64.2cc to achieve 12:1 compression. Ideal for 93 octane or E852. The sleeves in the LS7 are cheap and are prone to breaking and the pistons are cast and known to crack. Erik Koenig from HorsePowerreasearch in McKinney, TX hand built this motor using Darton sleeves and reusing the LS7 TI rods and LS7 oem crank. Motor was broke-in on the dyno usingMotul break-in oil. Here are the details:Erik Koenig machined and hand assembled this motorDarton sleeved blockLS7 Titanium Rods and LS7 Crank were reusedAll new bearingsAPR Rod bolts and APR main studsCP-Carillo Bullet LS7 Forged 4.135 pistons, BLS1202-010, Calico coating on pistonsCP-Carillo .927 Rod Pins and CP-Carillo RingsCustom Comp Cam 241/248; .661 /.652 114+4 on OEM 1.8 rockersJohnson 2110 LiftersBTR Cromoly Pushrods3. The TR6060 is a great transmission but it is better when upgraded with Carbon blocker rings, REM polishing and Cryogenic Treated. Itis also setup to run an external transmission fluid cooler, if needed. I also switched the 5th and 6th gears, which allows this Z06 to cruise alongwith a medium to big cam without surging. Tick Performance in Mt. Airy, NC built this transmission. Here are the details:Complete tear-down, degrease & thorough inspection of entire transmissionBronze Fork Pad Upgrade on all gearsCarbon Blocker Ring Upgrade on 1-4 gearsOEM Blocker Ring Replacement on 5-6-R gearsZR1 Pickup Tube (where applicable)Bronze Shifter Cup Bushing UpgradeNew Front SealNew Rear SealCryogenic Treatment of All Transmission InternalsREM Polishing of All Transmission InternalsEnd-play set to our custom specificationsProfessional Reassembly done 100% by hand5th gear change to 0.84 and 6th gear change to 0.574. Hinson C7R LSX Timing Chain5. ATI Balancer6. Brand new OEM LS7 clutch. I had a Monster Triple clutch on the car and it made too much noise for me so I sold it and put a new LS7 clutch and flywheel back in. Clutch has 100 miles on it.7. Advanced Induction Ported OEM Intake Manifold8. Advanced Induction Ported OEM 90mm Throttle Body9. Vette Aire10. AFE Air Intake Filter11. Walbro E85 in-tank Fuel Pump. All you need to run E85 in this car is a tune and a E85 sensor.12. Custom Z06 exhaust with 4 tips and muffler mod. Straight piped with valves open and very quiet with valves closed.13. Mild to Wild exhaust valve switch on the dead pedal.14. Skip Shift eliminator. This is a very unique C6 Z06 and it drives great and makes great power. In its current state it makes approximately 560whp and500wtq on 93 Octane. With E85 fuel and headers, intake manifold and air intake it will make a whopping 625whp and 545wtq.The motor has less than 1,000 miles on it and the transmission has less than 500 miles. The heads were done when I purchased the car and they have closer to about 6,000 miles on them, but they were inspected when I removed themotor by the owner at Advanced Induction and he found no wear on the valve guides.None of the parts listed above were ever changed because of any type of failure. Everything that I did to this Z06 was done as precautionso I would never have to worry about the typical failures with this car.Oil pressure is perfect at idle and at operating temperature and I have only used Amsoil ZROD 10w30 in the motor. In addition to the performance mods listed above, I have also installed some tasteful cosmetic mods:1. OEM Speedline Machine faced/Grey Cup wheels with Michelin Pilot Super Port Tires.2. Corvette Racing center caps with Jake Skull3. Ceramic legal Tint4. OEM 427 hood emblems5. Black Corvette letters insertWhen I purchased this Z06 it also had protectant film on the front bumper and half way up the hood and on the mirrors, so the front of the carhas always been protected from any flying debree and has no chips.I am only selling this Z06 only becuase I rarely drive it and it is time for someone else to enjoy it. I put less than 6,000 mileson it since I have owned it over the past 43 months.I have all of the records of everything that that has been done to this Z06.
