2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS For Sale This 2011 Chevrolet Camaro SS is a modified fifth-generation car built with durability in mind alongside the power, finished in yellow with black stripes and showing 65,000 miles. Backed by the 6L80 six-speed automatic, its centerpiece is a full conversion away from the automatic SSs factory engine configuration, paired with a camshaft and valvetrain package chosen to work with the converter and calibration rather than around them. Automatic-equipped 2011 SS models left the factory with the L99, a 6.2L V8 that shared its core architecture with the manual cars LS3 but added Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation and variable valve timing. This example has been converted to LS3 specification using a complete Gwatney Performance Innovation L99-to-LS3 kit, deleting AFM/DOD and fitting an OEM GM LS2/LS3 valley cover, timing cover, four-pole cam sprocket, heavy-duty timing chain, and timing damper. From there the build runs a GPI SS4 no-flycut camshaft, specified at .645 and .638 inch of valve lift, 236/252 duration at .050 inch, and a 113-degree lobe separation angle. Supporting hardware includes Johnson 2110R drop-in slow-leakdown lifters, a Brian Tooley Racing .660-inch dual platinum valve spring kit with steel retainers and BTR seals, a Manton heavy-duty trunnion kit, and GPI 7.425-inch 5/16 hardened pushrods, with ARP cylinder head bolts and ARP three-bolt cam bolts securing the critical joints. Induction comes by way of a GPI ported Rod Mod LS3 intake manifold with heat shield and a GPI ported LS3 throttle body, with GPI heavy-duty plug wires on the ignition side. The whole combination runs on a custom GPI remote-tuned calibration written in HP Tuners. Behind the engine is a Circle D Specialties 6L80 Pro Series multi-disc 245mm high-stall 4C torque converter, chosen to bring the automatic into the camshafts operating range, with a Hurst shifter handling gear selection. Power reaches the rear wheels through a Driveshaft Shop performance driveshaft, with a heavy-duty BMR safety loop and BMR anodized tunnel braces, both in red, reinforcing the tunnel area. Cooling upgrades are extensive for a street car: an Improved Racing factory oil cooler delete kit, a Mishimoto M22 oil sandwich plate with a 160-degree low-temp thermostat, and a Derale auxiliary transmission cooler. A heavy-duty COMP Cams belt tensioner and Gates belt handle accessory drive duties, and the custom exhaust uses Flowmaster and FlowFX mufflers joined with three-inch stainless lap and band clamps. Braking is handled by drilled and slotted rotors, and the car rides on 20-inch wheels wearing newer high-performance tires in the staggered 245/45 front and 275/40 rear sizing the SS platform was set up for. Inside is a two-tone black and gray interior with SS embroidery in the headrests, and an AEM X-Series wideband UEGO air/fuel ratio gauge with OBD-II CAN integration sits in an AeroForce driver-side dash vent pod, giving real-time feedback on how the tune is behaving. Outside, the car wears a custom front lip spoiler, Pro Motor Stripes custom vinyl graphics, and an OEM GM hood air extractor water deflector.
