Built for the 2009 model year, this 911 Turbo falls into what is known in Porsche circles as a 997.1.5 generation of the 911 Turbo. These cars straddle the 997.1 and 997.2 generations of the 911 Turbo, boasting the 3.6-liter Mezger twin-turbocharged engine from the 997.1 alongside some of updates seen in the later 997.2 cars, most notably the updated PCM 3.0 infotainment system. To many, these are the most desirable 997-generation 911 Turbos as almost all of the 997.2-generation 991 Turbos were fitted with Porsches PDK gearbox.
An accompanying Carfax shows that the car was sold in September of 2009 to its first owner in New Hampshire and it would remain with him with him for over a decade. A service invoice from Autohaus Lancaster, the authorized Porsche dealership and service center in Lancaster, Pennsylvania show that it received an oil change, brake fluid flush, and battery preplacement in July of 2022, showing 79 miles upon arrival and 91 miles upon departure following a short test drive. At the same time, a DME scan was undertaken showing no overrevs.
Today, the 911 Turbo still presents in virtually as-new condition throughout. It is accompanied by the aforementioned service invoice and DME report from Autohaus Lancaster, its original window sticker, a set of owners manuals, tool kit, and a Porsche Production Specifications certificate. Finally, the car is fitted with paint protection film on the front bumper, front fenders, windshield, and mirror caps.
The last 911 Turbo to be fitted with a manual transmission, for many the 997-generation 911 Turbo represents the end of an era in Porsches iconic flagship 911 model. With most being bought to use and enjoy as Porsche intended, finding such a low mileage example is truly extraordinary.
