Imperfections are limited to some chin scrapes and some curb rash on the wheels. Interior Charcoal plastic formed door panels are adorned with nickel faces switchgear and burlwood accents on the door handles and are in great shape. Robust leather bucket seats include perforated inserts, all in black leather and in nice condition, and the suggested 2+2 seats in back are near pristine. Plenty of thumb controls and paddle shifters accompany the leather wrapped steering wheel which leads to more simulated burlwood accenting underscoring the instrument cluster with tach and speedometer flanking a digital screen. The center stack is an attractive panel with screen and completely integrated AM/FM/CD radio and HVAC panel in nickel trim framed in burlwood which carries over in bold panels in front of the passenger and capping the center console where the chrome based shifter lives. The entire dash is surrounded by stitched leather in fine shape, as is the plush charcoal carpet below and in the rear cargo area under the hatch. The button back headliner is gray cloth and is loose in places, being held up with push pins. Drivetrain Dont expect to see components under the hood as theres a big cover that dresses up the clean engine bay. Its hiding a 4.2 liter DOHC V8 rated at 294 horsepower and backed by a HP6 ZF 6-speed automatic transmission which routes power to the rear axle with 3.31 gears. Naturally, on a high end personal sport luxury car, power disc brakes will be found at all four wheels! Undercarriage Clean, driver quality underneath with some typical surface rust on bare components. Heat shields line the center tunnel where the driveshaft and dual exhaust flow through an original equipment mufflers before expelling spent gas via chrome tips at each end of the rear valance. MacPherson struts make up the independent suspension on both front and back. Drive-Ability Great ergonomics, a handsome interior, and comfortable seats make us wish our test loop was longer than it is, but well have to make do. First world problems, you see. Anyway, the car has plenty of power as 294 horses are no slouch, propelling this luxury ride with surefooted grip, suspension that is almost sport tuned in its stiffness, but not uncomfortably so. And, as we sort of expected with this mileage and care, all functional items on the car operate as intended.
