The Scuderia Spider 16M celebrated Maranellos 16th Formula 1 Constructors Championship, an achievement unrivaled in motorsport. Built in a limited series of just 499 examples, the exclusively open-topped model was derived from the uncompromising F430 Scuderia, retaining its potent 4.3-liter V-8 while adding subtle refinements such as redesigned pistons and a higher compression ratio. The result was an engine that climbed to redline with thrilling immediacy, delivering torque and roar in equal measure. Rated by Ferrari at 503 horsepower sent through the acclaimed F1-SuperFast 2 six-speed transmission, it also delivered scorching acceleration, sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds on the way to a 198-mph top speed.

Despite the structural reinforcements required for its open-top design, the 16M remained astonishingly light, testament to Ferraris relentless pursuit of weight reduction. Engineers implemented a comprehensive diet, including lightened front and rear bumpers, reworked front suspension and steering, forged alloy wheels, a carbon fiber roll bar, and even titanium wheel bolts, with the result being a remarkable 176 pounds lost from the standard F430 Spider and preservation of the F430s remarkable driving dynamics.

As Ferrari had forged its reputation through racing triumphs, it was only appropriate that its success at the highest level of racing be honored with one of the companys finest modern creations and in sum, the Scuderia Spider 16M was, and is, certainly that.

The majority of 16Ms delivered to the United States were finished in some variant of Rosso. Thus, the example offered here is surpassingly rare, having been specified for its original California owner in the striking combination of Blu Pozzi over Terra Bruciata interior, believed to be the only US car so-liveried, with Argento Nrburgring and Nero painted body stripe. Its window sticker, included in the file, notes over $18,000 in Special Features, in addition to full leather upholstery; color-coordinated Blu Scuro leather dashboard, steering wheel, and Cuoio stitching; contrasting-colored embroidered headrest logos, with the drivers side orange and the passenger side purple; and radio-navigation system with Bluetooth. Well-kept since new, including a service by Ferrari of Newport Beach, California, in 2024 and further attention by Ferrari of Naples, Florida, in 2025, it recorded 5,941 miles at the time of cataloguing. It is accompanied by its original books, tools, and service documents.
