The C6 Corvette ZR1 has been called the greatest Corvette of all time and represents a true milestone for the brand. It is the first factory supercharged Corvette. The first to exceed 200 mph. And also the first to cost over $100,000. With 638 hp and loads of carbon fiber, it offers tremendous performance on all fronts.
This 2009 3ZR model represents the first year of C6 ZR1 production and shows 38k miles. It really looks the part with its factory Cyber Gray paint and carbon fiber accents. It also has black ZR1 wheels and tinted windows / lenses for a wicked look. The factory badging, engine window, and enormous blue calipers give some added flair too. Tires are Michelin Pilot Super Sports from 2018 in the factory sizes of 285/30ZR19 front and 335/25ZR20 rear.
The supercharged LS9 engine is factory rated at 638 hp, while the race-hardened 6-speed manual transmission provides two overdrive gears and feeds a 3.42 rear end. Of course you get all the Corvette goodies like magnetic ride control, antilock brakes, and traction control. But there is also a ton of race-bred technology on the ZR1. Dry sump oiling system. Dual disc clutch. Carbon ceramic brake rotors (15.5” front, 15” rear). Oil, transmission, and differential coolers. It all makes for a Corvette with extraordinary capabilities.
The charcoal interior is a great complement to the exterior, starting with the dual heated power seats with ZR1 embroidery. The 3ZR package provides attractive carbon fiber accents, while the tilt / telescoping steering column ensures anyone can have a comfortable driving position. There are many other factory features; touch screen navigation, Bluetooth, head-up display (HUD), dual climate control, light sensitive mirrors, steering wheel controls, boost gauge, and more. This example has also been equipped with a hidden Passport SRX radar detector with laser shifters.
There are plenty of impressive metrics to go along with the ZR1. 0-60 in 3.3 seconds and the quarter mile in 11.2 seconds. A top speed of 205 mph. 60-0 braking in only 91 feet. 1.1g on the skidpad. All this in a street car with cruise control, air conditioning, a nice stereo, and storage space for a weekend. But equally impressive is being able to buy this flagship Corvette for just half its original MSRP!
