Under the hood is the legendary 6.2-liter Supercharged LSA V8, factory rated at an incredible 556 horsepower and 551 lb-ft of torque. And this particular CTS-V doesnt appear to have been left completely stock. It has received performance modifications intended to increase horsepower beyond its already impressive factory output. We do not have a verified dyno horsepower number, so were not going to make one up but this is unquestionably a serious performance sedan with plenty of power on tap. With only 34,266 original miles, this V presents beautifully and is in excellent condition both inside and out. It recently came to us as a trade-in on another vehicle, and its condition reflects a car that has clearly been cared for. The Black exterior gives the CTS-V an aggressive, understated appearance, while the Black Leather interior delivers exactly what youd expect from Cadillac: comfort and luxury wrapped around a genuine performance-car driving environment. What made the second-generation CTS-V so special was that Cadillac didnt simply install a big engine into a luxury sedan. The car was engineered as a complete performance package. Factory equipment included Magnetic Ride Control, which continuously adjusts suspension damping, along with massive Brembo performance brakes featuring six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers. The CTS-V also received a heavy-duty driveline and limited-slip differential to handle the tremendous output of the supercharged LSA. The performance was legitimate. Cadillac reported 0-60 MPH acceleration in under four seconds, putting the CTS-V into serious sports-car territory while still providing four doors, a comfortable interior, and genuine luxury-car road manners. The 2009 CTS-V even proved itself at Germanys legendary Nrburgring, recording a 7:59.32 lap, an extraordinary accomplishment for a production four-door sedan of its era.
