2009 Cadillac CTS-V 4 Door Sedan

For consignment, a 2009 Cadillac CTS-V 4 door sedan with a title verified 101,878 actual miles. It didnt take long for the first gen CTS-V to attain legend status and theyve evolved into the current CT5-V Blackwing that is capable of an astonishing 668 horsepower.

Exterior
With its facet chiseled design and Black Raven coating for the straight steel, the car retains its unassuming look but in reality, it is a smoker. A mesh chromed upper and lower grille keeps with the Cadillac tradition and mixes V inspired aggression with a touch of luxury, and it fronts a hood that has a subtle power bulge, if there can be such a thing. Four doors allow easy access for thrill riders and the tall vertical back of this car has flush tail lights and a wide third brake light, while two large tailpipes exit just below the integrated bumper and lower splitter. 19-inch black wheels are wrapped in staggered ZR rated tires. Imperfections include numerous scuffs and scratches, crackling plastic on the side mirror, orange peel, and panels that have slightly mismatched quality and shade to their blackness.

Interior
A complex but handsome mix of contoured stitched leather, plastic, and Alcantara line the door panels and its immediately evident, this is not your grandfathers Cadillac. Sporty Recaro black leather buckets await front seat occupants, emblazoned with the V emblem and showing a touch of wear on the drivers side. Both are heated and ventilated and have hip support, while rear passengers enjoy the same materials in a flat configuration. A center console houses the manual shifter in a leather boot while the center stack contains fully integrated panels for A/C and the entertainment system and nav displayed on a center screen. Simple and clear gauges just glow at you in front of the sporty steering wheel while the floor is flooded with smooth charcoal carpet and the trunk is finished with gray cloth panels.

Drivetrain
Under the hood awaits a heavily shrouded 6.2 liter supercharged LSA V8, putting out an astounding 556 horsepower and receiving fuel through a Squash twin fuel pump injection system. The Tremec TR6060 has a Monster triple disc clutch kit and rows 6 speeds manually to the rear limited slip axle with 3.73 gearing.

Undercarriage
Sparkling stainless steel mufflers and exhaust tips cap off the dual exhaust that originate with headers in the engine bay and represent the cleanest components on the driver quality underside where typical metal oxidation and surface rust denotes a bit of use. One frame rail has a bit of flaking rust, but it does not appear to be impacting the structure, while dry conditions are found throughout. Power disc brakes on all four wheels are augmented by the Brembo company and suspension includes GMs SLA system with fat stabilizer bars and electro magnetically controlled shock absorbers.

Drive-Ability
The sedan comes to life with a growl uncommon to Cadillacs, but this is no ordinary Cadillac. The interior is comfortable, roomy, and nicely ergonomic. We got a few fault codes when scanned, (see photos), but the car has no problem putting down the rubber and providing a spirited ride with straight tracking and much better handling than your Uncles 87 Fleetwood. We note a slight clunking in the steering wheel upon turns and the fuel gauge is not working, but all other functions operate as they should. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase.

If the Corvette is akin to a sleek, smooth stingray, this car is a charging rhinoceros, full of girth and grunt and leading the charge with a power bulge. Like a 5.56 round, the 556 horsepower pierces the depths of expectations and is the thundercrack of the muscle bound sedan world. Isnt it time you get your hands on a CTS-V?
