In 2008 Mercedes-Benz introduced the CLK 63 AMG Black Series, offering a lighter, more powerful version of its CLK AMG sibling. Available exclusively as a hardtop coupe, the CLK 63 Black featured extensive weight savings in order to increase the car's performance, including the removal of the rear seats. Powered by a 500hp naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 engine and paired to a 7-speed automatic transmission, the CLK 63 Black also features numerous upgrades to the suspension and drivetrain in order to improve driving and handling performance.
