Classic Car Overview
2008 Dodge Charger RT Daytona For consignment, a 2008 Dodge Charger R/T Daytona with a title verified, 196,096 actual miles. Daytonas were produced in very limited numbers and in specific colors and estimates for a 2008 Daytona in Hemi Orange is 1,500 to 1,650 produced, making them a somewhat rare Mopar creation! Exterior Its not the paint that makes this car special, rather the satin black hood graphics, Daytona lettering and stripes on the side, and the 20-inch polished aluminum wheels, here wrapped in 245/45ZR20s with a late 2020 date code. The bold face almost grimaces, intimidating enough to cause you to pull right and used by police at the time because, lets face it, a Mini Cooper police car just would not do. The black band on the rear deck lid connects large, square tail lights all under the shadow of a tall, rear wing and over the dual exhaust cut into the splitter below. The rear door takes the shoulder line and shoots it upwards at an angle, creating a pointed window with a frame thats part of the C-pillar, a body line that subconsciously radiates strength. Imperfections on this high mileage example include chips on the front, various scratches, bubbling near a wheel opening, and curb rash on the wheels. Interior Molded plastic plays a big part in creating the robust door panels and this car has four of them. Up front, black leather bucket seats with suede inserts rule the roost complete with Daytona embroidered in red on the seat backs. As one would expect, the drivers seat shows some wear and compression and a tear or two, while the equally supportive passenger seat and flat rear bench are in very nice condition. Things have aged nicely up front where a four spoke steering wheel leads to a quartet of white faced gauges, clean and racy, and accompanied by a screen in the center stack over the A/C switchgear. For entertainment, youll have AM/FM/CD and U-Connect, along with navigation onboard. The center console cleanly houses the shifter and black carpet is protected by rubber mats up front. A sunroof offers natural light from above and is surrounded by a gray headliner. Gray cloth panels finish the trunk and present cleanly as well. Drivetrain A spotless engine bay tells the story of careful care, and the orange and black palette matches the exterior. Under the shroud is Dodges venerable 5.7 liter Hemi V8, fuel injected and rated at 340 horsepower. Its mated toa W5A850 5-speed automatic transmission that routes power to 3.06 gears in back. Undercarriage A clean and dry undercarriage tells that same story and belie the mileage on the car. Here we find four wheel power disc brakes, Macpherson struts on front and coil springs in back. The dual exhaust meets at an X-pipe, then travels through MagnaFlow mufflers exiting through polished tips. Minimal surface rust, no errant fluids, and no invasive rust of any kind! Drive-Ability Supportive seats lock you into this muscle car family hauler, and haul it does with more than adequate power underfoot, running well after all this time, and handling much better than your Buick Lucerne. Every functional item on the car works and were satisfied to bring this car back to the mall where it will wait in our warm space for adoption. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase. At first there was consternation among Mopar fanatics that the Charger would be a four door, but when the new gen was released and performed so well, suddenly the number of doors didnt matter much. It became the practical muscle car and one in which the kids could easily access the back and pile in! A good sized trunk and an even better sized engine makes this an all around great car! 2B3LA53H48H203412 2-Canada B-Dodge 3-Passenger Car L-Manual Belts, Front & Side Airbags A-Charger 5-Premium Price Class 3-4 Door Sedan H-5.7 Liter 340hp Hemi V8 4-Check Digit 8-2008 H-Brampton, Ontario, Canada Assy Plant 203412-Sequential Unit Number Classic Auto Mall is home to more than 1,000 classic and collectible vehicles for sale via consignment in a climate controlled 336,000-square foot showroom (thats more than 8 acres!).
