The curvaceous styling of the carbon fibre bodywork and the thunderous sound produced by the naturally aspirated, Maserati-derived, 4.7-litre V-8 engine are almost universally applauded when it comes to appraising the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione.

According to factory records, the example offered here was originally delivered on 27 June 2008. While the 8C was more commonly specified in the shade of Rosso Alfa, this car was notably ordered in Nero while the carbon fibre bucket seats are trimmed in Titanio leather with Bordeaux stitching.

The clutch was replaced in November 2014 by Groupe Segond Automobiles of Monaco at a cost of 3,065 (invoice available to view on file). A comprehensive service was completed by official Maserati dealer Modena Sport Toulouse in June 2020 for 1,675.

Consigned to auction from a private collection based in Germany, the Alfa Romeo displayed 18,852 kilometres at the time of cataloguing while it is accompanied by a fitted luggage case.

More than two decades since the concept for the 8C Comeptizione was first shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2003, the model remains Alfa Romeos 21st Century crowning glory. The rare colours of this example ensure that it will appeal to marque and sports car collectors alike.
