Exterior Named for the famous time trial hill climb in Colorado, Pikes Peak White covers this streamlined Japanese sports car which is adorned with wind tunnel proven aerodynamics. Thats right, the chin spoiler, wing, rear fascia, and other touches are not just for show, theyre for airflow and downforce! 18-inch Rays Engineering wheels carry ZR rated, staggered tires with a late 2018 date code and wear the same argent gray as the body cladding, while the yellow Brembo calipers add a flash of bright color. Underneath it all is the 350s classic shape with flush headlights and tail lights, raked windshield, curves everywhere, and the characteristic vertical door handles. Imperfections include numerous touched up chips and scratches, flex cracks on the bumpers with cracking on the rear, chipped paint, scratches, scuffs on the chin spoiler, and scratch lines that encircle the entire diameter of the wheels. Interior Red stitching adds a bit of flair to the smooth black door panels where the faux riveted door pull mirrors the outside handle and both doors present cleanly. Red and black cloth buckets fill the cabin with a peeled section on the drivers side support and the passengers in excellent shape. The coveted Nismo badge and car number is displayed near the shifter and the contrast of black carpet and gray headliner is a welcome deviation from the norm. Drivetrain The nicely detailed bay holds the 3.5 liter DOHC V6 rated at 306 horsepower thats mated to a 6-speed manual transmission which routes power to the rear locking axle with 3.53 gears. Undercarriage The belly scrapes, surface rust, and residual oil stains align with a car of this mileage and raise no red flags in our book. The exhaust converges as one, then enters an original muffler, splitting again to exit via tree trunk sized exhaust tips, which have lost their luster that is just under the surface. Brembo power disc brakes are at all four corners and multi link independent suspension is at the front and the back. Drive-Ability In predictive Japanese consistency, the car starts up without issue, emits a sweet but not offensive exhaust note, and rolls onto the test loop as we steer from a comfortable cockpit thats designed for the driver. The car demonstrates good power and astounding handling and were impressed with the braking as well. Not surprisingly, all functions on the inside and out work just as they should and we race this one back to the mall so that the world can see it.
