Classic Car Overview

In 1966 Ford Motor Company, Hertz Rent A Car and Carroll Shelby teamed up to create the Hertz Rent-A-Racer program. 1,001 special Shelby GT350s were built exclusively for Hertz - predominantly in the iconic black and gold paint scheme. Forty years later, in 2006, they did it again! Five hundred 2006 GT-H coupes were produced for Hertz. The following year, in 2007, they followed up with five hundred GT-H convertibles. All were finished in black with gold stripes..Although the idea was to rent them, a scarce few never saw rental duties, in addition 17 executive cars were built with 5 speed manual transmissions - all the rentals had automatic transmissions. The car offered here is one of those cars. Only 1,800 miles, never rented and equipped from new with a 5 speed manual transmission.
