Jim Clarke led the charge with the creation of the 5.0 HO V8 for the Mustang in 1982 and was responsible for the continuous improvement of the 5.0 throughout the '80s. What Jim and his team accomplished is truly amazing.

The 2007 Parnelli Jones Boss 302 Mustang #241 is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. This screaming v8 monster is based on Ford s legendary Boss 302 Mustang with added spices by Saleen with only 500 produced! It has 17,000 all original miles on the chassis and engine. This beast is powered by Ford s 302 cubic inch Modular v8 which is complete with forged-aluminum pistons, forged steel connecting rods as well as a forged steel crank shaft This powerplant delivers a beastly 400 hp screaming at 6,000rpm. It is backed by a bullet proof Tremec 5 speed transmission for that sporty drive while rolling through the gears. Other goodies include Saleen N2 Dampers and linear-rate coilsprings, a Watts Linkage rear axle with a 3:73 rear end, and 14 inch slotted front rotors with 4 piston calipers. What really draws you in is the beautiful Grabber Orange paint, louvered rear window and intimidating shaker hood. Partnered with black interior this car is a real head turner. While Saleen only produced 500 units of this vehicle, this is the only one in existence with a Shaker 1000 sound system installed! Saleen wanted to honor the name of one of the greatest racing legends ever to set foot on track: Parnelli Jones. Jones is famed for winning several Indy 500 races, numerous sprint car races, stock car, and for driving a Boss 302 to first place in the 1970 SCCA Trans-Am race.
