Classic Car Overview
Modern collectables like this 2007 Dodge Charger SRT-8 Super Bee are starting to find their groove within the collector car marketplace. This 7,646 miles Detonator Yellow over black leather interior is #183 out of only 1,000 units ever built, which means its always going to be a very special muscle car. Featuring a fresh crate 392 HEMI V8 mated to a Blue-Print 5-speed automatic, this slick stinger sedan is a head turner thats also an absolute blast to drive. High-impact colors have always looked great on Dodges bad boy sedan, and theres scarcely a better choice than Detonator Yellow for a car that can break hearts on the street like this one does. The factory bodywork is as expected for a car with so few miles on the clock: fantastic. And the gallons of deep yellow paint poured over the vivid body lines looks borderline erotic on this new-age Mopar. Once the high-gloss paint was applied and finished, the SRT scooped hood was adorned with a matte black HEMI wrap across the middle, the tail panel was partially blacked-out, and Super Bee rear quarter decals were expertly applied as well. All those decals do a great job of breaking up all the yellow shade a bit, and the sunroof does the same for the roof while adding a nice touch of luxury. Cool, smoked headlights, a deep front bumper with ground effects, the slick rear spoiler, and a minimum of name plates and Super Bee badges make this car look clean and incredibly potent. No one is going to want to tangle with this one on the street. The interior isnt much changed from stock, but thats a good thing because Chrysler gave their SRT models deeply sculpted bucket seats with beautiful contrasting stitch work, a carbon fiber dash, and every comfort and convenience item you can imagine. Just because it has four doors and an automatic transmission doesnt mean this Charger isnt for drivers, and once youre settled behind that fat leather-wrapped wheel, youll find a full set of white-faced analog dials that glow brightly when you turn the key. Theres custom stitching and embroidery on the seats just to remind everyone that this isnt your average 4-door and theres a thundering custom stereo with Kicker subwoofers and a big amplifier to firm up the bass. You can still drive this car every day: the A/C is ice cold, the power windows, locks, seats, and mirrors make getting comfortable easy, and the back seat is still fully functional for guests. Even the trunk still has decent space with that big custom enclosure in there. The engine is a fresh crate 392 HEMI V8 that was installed less than 1,000 miles ago, which, by itself, cranks out enough power to make most cars run and hide. However, this one has been upgraded further to pump out 451HP with a ported and polished intake, a 90mm Arrington Throttle Body, and a set of custom Kooks long-tube headers to take horsepower up to Hellcat levels. It looks fairly OEM under the hood and if you keep your foot out of it, it drives like a stocker, but if you open it up, youre going to need every millimeter of those thick rear tires. The BluePrint 5-speed automatic transmission snaps off lightning-fast shifts thanks to a Precision Industries 2300 stall convertor, so all you need to do is stomp and steer, and with an upgraded and fully adjustable AFCO race suspension, giant 4-wheel disc brakes, and a throaty Magnaflow exhaust system, the car has the support staff to make it safe and easy to handle. Its currently sitting on factory SRT-8 wheels wrapped in thick Goodyear rubber, but a full set of Bogart Ultra-Light three piece 17-inch wheels wrapped in race tires comes with the sale as well if youre ever feeling frisky. Fully loaded and documented with its original window sticker, this rare Super Bee Charger nails the high-end Mopar look and fortunately brings enough firepower to the party to more than back it up.
