The Porsche 911 has always been among the worlds most desirable cars, keeping it near the top of the automotive food chain for 60+ years. This 2006 Carrera 6-speed lives up to this heritage nicely. With its sports car performance and dynamic looks, this Porsche does not disappoint.

Based on the excellent 997 platform, this example has a supercar look with its factory black paint, Turbo style front bumper cover, and GT3 decklid and spoiler. Other modifications include tinted windows, aftermarket taillights, and black powder coated wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires from 2017 (235 front, 305 rear). The red brake calipers and cross-drilled rotors add to the exotic appearance. This one also includes a factory power sunroof. Note this car is nearly 20 years old with 107k miles and thus shows some wear, most notably light road rash on the quarter panel forward surfaces.

The drivetrain consists of the stock 3.6L flat-6 motor that feels more powerful than its 325hp rating might suggest. This is mated to a very smooth 6-speed manual transmission that really delivers the Porsche experience. The car is a truly a joy to drive, remarkably fast and nimble with excellent steering, handling, and braking; such outstanding performance! A lowering kit has been installed and does not present any tire clearance issues. Recent maintenance includes a $3k engine-out service to replace a noisy oil pump. It was visually inspected at this time and no issues were noted, though some valvetrain noise is present at warm idle.

The Sand Beige leather interior adds to the rich appearance with front bucket seats that were recovered in 2025. The dash and controls are well laid out with a classic Porsche appearance along with the factory Sport Chrono Package. Aftermarket carbon fiber trim adorns the dashboard and center console. The lights, turn signals, gauges, wipers, climate control, navigation, power windows, and parking brake all work properly. The sound system is also functional with the exception of the CD player. Two keys / fobs are present.

There aren't many cars like the Porsche 911. It can do it all and do it well. This is especially true of the sixth-generation 997 platform which is a nice upgrade both mechanically and cosmetically over the previous 996 design. This example delivers all that capability in an exciting shape that will have you looking for excuses to drive.
