Classic Car Overview

2006 Mazda MX-5 Miata Why This Vehicle is Special The 2006 Mazda Miata MX-5 we have here at Skyway Classics got its first top-to-bottom redesign since its launch in 1989. Our roadster gains a roomier cockpit and an engine upgrade to an all-new 170-horsepower, 2.0-liter engine. The 2006 Mazda Miata is still the standard when it comes to delivering top-down thrills without breaking the bank and is the benchmark of a huge fun factor with precise steering and handling, low price, and is economical to operate. Features 2006 Mazda Miata MX5 2.0-liter, inline four-cylinder engine makes 170 horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque Six-speed manual transmission Clean and detailed engine compartment Power steering Power brakes Grey twin bucket seat cockpit Black vinyl convertible top Factory steering-wheel Sporty gauges Grey carpeting Center console housing the shifter Maroon paint job that is also in great condition and looks great in both natural and artificial light Grey factory 10-spoke wheels Black sidewall radial tires Mechanical This Mazda roadster is about simplicity in design and operation. Its about having fun behind the wheel. The MX-5 Miatas 2.0-liter, inline four-cylinder engine makes 170 horsepower at 6,700 rpm and 140 pound-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm. A six-speed manual transmission drives the rear and it will go from zero to 60 mph in under 8 seconds. The engine pulls willingly and revs freely. Its a delightful instrument to play, especially in combination with the optional six-speed manual gearbox and it sits in a clean and detailed engine compartment. The MX-5 Miata still changes direction like a roller skate and speaks to you clearly through the steering wheel and driver seat. With a lowered top and an open road, Mazdas roadster has few equals when it comes to sheer entertainment. Interior The grey twin bucket seat cockpit offers richer furnishings than before, along with more storage. The top can be raised or lowered from the driver seat in a matter of seconds. Ours has a black vinyl convertible top, power windows and mirrors, factory steering-wheel, sporty black gauges, grey carpeting, and the center console housing the six-speed manual shifter. Exterior The exterior is a maroon/rust paint job that is also in great condition and looks great in both natural and artificial light. It rides on the grey factory 10-spoke wheels with black sidewall radial tires and looks nice either with the black convertible top up or down. Conclusion Inspired by the British roadsters of some four decades ago, the 2006 Mazda MX-5 Miata roadster we have here at Skyway Classics has won over legions of driving enthusiasts since its introduction in 1990. The Miata offers Japanese reliability and build quality and is prized for its go-kart-like handling, quick-dropping top and timeless styling. This Miata is a solid sporty package and a great car just to run about town in or take on a trip!
