This is THE ultimate Duramax diesel truck. It is pre-emission diesel with no DPF or DEF (before the government imposed those emissions requirements). 2006 & 2007 were the only two years to receive the LBZ duramax diesel, it is the same duramax since the early 2000's however on the LBZ series GM fixed all the earlier issues. If you do any research at all you will see the LBZ is the most desirable duramax you can buy, they are known to be million-mile trucks. This truck also has the robust and basically bulletproof Allison 1000 6-speed automatic transmission which is also highly improved improved from earlier models and also considered one of the best diesel transmissions ever made. This bodystyle GMC is considered the GMT800 chassis/platform which is also highly regarded as one of the last Real trucks, built with pride by GM and before the GMT900 platform started in 2007+ which is known for a much cheaper design overall. This bodystyle truck (GMT800) is known for its classic styling and the most comfortable interior out of the older and newer generations of trucks.
