Classic Car Overview

One of 2,011 Ford GTs produced for the 2006 model year, this exceptionally distinctive example was reportedly presented to celebrated automotive designer Chip Foose by his wife as a birthday gift in 2013 and subsequently personalized under his ownership before being displayed in the MagnaFlow booth at the 2014 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Designed by Camilo Pardo as a modern interpretation of Fords legendary GT40, the Ford GT combined an extruded-aluminum space frame, aluminum bodywork, and dramatic mid-engine proportions with thoroughly modern supercar performance. This example is one of a reported 541 finished in Tungsten Grey Metallic for 2006 and features optional over-the-top silver stripes and Ford GT graphics over an Ebony leather interior. The prior listing states that the car was acquired by its then-owner in 2017 and shows just over 3,500 miles. Its mid-mounted, all-aluminum 5.4-liter DOHC V8 is equipped with a Lysholm-type supercharger, water-to-air intercooler, and dry-sump lubrication system, producing a factory-rated 550 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Ricardo six-speed manual transaxle and helical limited-slip differential. During Fooses ownership, the car was further distinguished with orange accent striping, a lowered suspension, a custom rear treatment, a MagnaFlow stainless-steel exhaust system, and one-off six-spoke Foose aluminum wheels measuring 20 inches up front and 21 inches at the rear. The seller questionnaire describes the rear bumper as having been removed, with the rear frame extensions trimmed flush with the body and custom nerf covers installed, while also noting the use of 3M vinyl for the orange accents. The braking system employs Brembo four-piston monoblock calipers with cross-drilled and ventilated rotors, while the custom wheels are fitted with Pirelli P Zero tires. According to both the prior listing and current seller, the removed factory components were retained, allowing the car to be returned toward its original configuration.
Inside, the Ford GT retains its purposeful GT40-inspired layout, with Sparco-designed bucket seats featuring carbon-fiber shells and ventilation grommets, bare aluminum floors, an extruded-aluminum center console, and a 220-mph speedometer flanked by a driver-focused tachometer and auxiliary instrumentation. A McIntosh stereo is fitted in the center stack, while the passenger airbag cover is signed by Chip Foose. The prior listing notes that the driver and passenger airbag assemblies were replaced in 2017 and 2018, respectively, and that a boost gauge and replacement steering-wheel decal were installed in July 2020; an oil change and replacement decklid struts were also completed at that time. More recently, the seller reports that the battery was replaced in July 2026 and states that the car currently requires no repairs or service, with no known accident repair, paintwork, mechanical issues, or fluid leaks. Offered with two key fobs and the owners manual, this unusually personalized Ford GT pairs extremely low mileage with documented association with one of Americas best-known automotive designers.
