In 2005 Ford celebrated its 100th Anniversary by building this modern take on its most iconic race car, the Ford GT40. Now called the Ford GT, this car carries over much of the same characteristics from predecessor; a mid-mounted V8, manual transmission, RWD, and a body made of lightweight materials. Many styling cues have also been carried over from the original and to many this is the quintessential example of how to do a modern take on a classic car. This example is shown in Centennial White with blue stripes, a color scheme synonymous with the brand and American racing.
