Produced from 2003 to 2004, the type-996 GT3 RS expanded on the performance credentials of the 996-generation GT3 by offering more power while its driving dynamics were further honed for the racetrack. The RS moniker itself pays homage to motorsport, an abbreviation of the German word Rennsport or racing sport in English. Offered solely in Carrera White, the models side decals and wheels (in either red or blue) gave a nod to the first road-going Porsche to carry the RS moniker: the 911 Carrera 2.7 RS.
The example offered here was delivered new via the Monegasque car dealer, Porsche Groupe Segond, with handover to its first owner noted on 12 August 2004. Finished in the models signature shade of Carrera White, the car gained Red side script to show the GT3 RS model name complemented by colour-matching wheels. The Porsche was specified with optional extras including air conditioning, Bi-Xenon headlights, and its roll cage painted white, further to the standard equipment offered with the GT3 RS. The car is accompanied by a copy of its original purchase invoice, further to its factory-issued books and manuals in a Porsche folio. The odometer reads just 9,184 kilometres at the time of cataloguing.
