Classic Car Overview

Its a mistake to think of the Gallardo as the junior Lamborghini, and this stunning 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo Coupe AWD neatly proves that smaller and more affordable also meant faster and more fun to drive. And it still draws the same kind of jaw-dropping attention of its big brother, so get in and start having some fun. Thanks to a big infusion of cash, engineering know-how, and technology from Audi, the Gallardo hit the market as a fully-formed supercar. No teething pains, no public testing, just a nasty, high-speed, mid-engined sports car that delivered on its outrageous looks. And this one is more outrageous than most, wearing vivid Giallo Midas paint (thats Pearl Yellow to us) and black trim, youre sure to be the center of attention everywhere you go. But the Gallardo is more than a posers car, its for the serious enthusiast, and Lamborghini gives you the tools to make it dance. That insanely expensive paint remains in great condition, with only a few demerits found on closer examination, but otherwise quite impressive. Of course, that shouldnt be a surprise, as cars like this are always well-maintained by passionate enthusiasts, and having only been driven less than 950 miles per year, it should be no surprise that it looks so good. Despite its long, low bodywork and the Italians reputation for odd driving positions, the Gallardo benefits from Audis interior designers, making it extremely user-friendly. The black-and-yellow leather seats are beautifully stitched with yellow thread and just about everything you can touch is covered in some expensive material. The flat-bottomed steering wheel screams performance and the big, round gauges are easy to see when youre snapping through the gears using the conventional and exciting 6-speed manual. Audis entertainment system makes it feel contemporary and modern, the A/C is effective, and the switches feel robust, all welcome advances over the good old, bad old days of Italian exotics. The huge windshield controls wind buffeting and the headliner is lined in elegant fine crushed velvet. Everything is in great condition, indicative of great care throughout its life and the limited wear is certainly in line with the mileage. The forward-mounted trunk isnt much for luggage, but it does house an original tool kit and a CD changer. The 5.0 liter V10 engine was built for combat and loves to rev up as often as possible. V10s are a favorite of Formula One teams, and with this car, its easy to see why. It screams to redline almost faster than you can react, and pulls like a freight train in every single gear, all the while making the most spine-tingling sounds this side of the Mulsanne Straight. The V10 has proven itself to be almost indestructible in spirited use, and youll never get tired of the way it hungrily spins through the gears. The 6-speed manual transmission is quicker than you were on your best day, and the clutch is built to take a stern kicking, so no worries there. Obviously, the car has never seen winter weather and you can probably count the number of rainy days its seen on one hand. Beautiful stock Lambo wheels are wrapped in 235/35/19 (front) and 255/30/19 (rear) low-profile performance radials. An opportunity to buy one of the most thrilling cars in a generation for more than half off its sticker price. Nobody will care that its a 2004, only that the guy driving it seems to be having the time of his life. Call today!
