Commemorative Edition models were offered to honor the success of the corvette C5R racer, and to close out this last year of the C5 generation. All commemorative editions had Lemans Blue exterior paint, crossed-flag embroidery on seat headrests, unique commemorative road wheels centers, and silver front and rear emblems with inserts to recall Corvettes success at Lemans with the words Commemorative 24:00 Herures Du Mans 2 GTS Wins.

Commemorative Editions were only produced in 2004 and only 2,659 convertibles were produced. The limited editions were made to honor the success of the Chevy C5 racer, and to close out the last production year of the C5 Corvette. The Commemoratives came with LeMans Blue paint, cross-flagged embroidery seat headrests, commemorative wheel centers, and front/back commemorative emblems. The convertible is unique as it has silver crossed flags on the center interior waterfall panels. The car is also equipped with enhanced special wheels only for this model and other decorative GM factory decals that were installed to show its uniqueness.
