Classic Car Overview

Don't let the fact that it has four doors fool you.  Under its hood, the 2003 Mercury Marauder conceals 300 horsepower of all-aluminum, all-American  muscle: a 32-valve, 4.6-liter V8 with some of the most coveted high-performance hardware from the Motor City.  Its lowered front suspension and rear load leveling air springs provide performance feels with sporty handling.  And details within its functional interior reflect a very serious attitude.

The interior is in excellent condition.  It has NUDO leather seating surfaces in black.  The 5 passenger cabin is upholstered in the style of the original 1964 1/2 Marauder, with debossed Mercury "god's head" logos in the front seats and "Marauder" stitched on the floor mats.  Hold on tight to the perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel.  It has satin aluminum Autometer pro-comp gauges mounted in the center console with a leather wrapped shift knob and an Alpine Audiophile dual media sound system.

The exterior has a few paint blemishes and small dings but shines like a mirror.  The polished, forged 5-spoke alloy wheels are a full 18" x 8" and are mounted with wide, sticky rubber.  The 3 1/2-inch wide polished stainless steel Megs exhaust tips are the tail end of a true dual exhaust.  The distinctive exhaust note leaves an audible calling card wherever Marauder goes.

The engine compartment is all original cleaned and polished.

I bought the Marauder in 2003.  For the past 12 years I have been taking it to car shows.  There a fewer and fewer of these cars still around
