Classic Car Overview
Few Mustangs have earned the cult following of the 2003 SVT Cobra, and this clean example takes the legendary Terminator formula well beyond stock. Showing just 39,151 miles, this Cobra pairs Fords supercharged 4.6L DOHC V8 with a 6 speed manual and an extensive list of thoughtfully selected performance upgrades that transform an already formidable Mustang into a serious street and weekend performance machine.
At the heart of this Cobra is a Steigemeier-ported Stage 4 Eaton supercharger fitted with a 2.9-inch pulley, complemented by a Livernois Stage 3 ported cylinder head and upgraded camshafts. Supporting the additional boost are an AFCO heat exchanger, BBK 65mm throttle body, C&L intake, Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump, and Gates heavy-duty supercharger belt with upgraded water pump. A performance clutch and flywheel kit works in conjunction with the 6 speed manual help put the power to the pavement.
The drivetrain has been substantially upgraded as well, featuring 3.73:1 gears, a Detroit Truetrac limited-slip differential, Ford Performance differential cover, FTBR bushings, and supporting components designed to make the Cobras power more usable and reliable.
The exhaust system is equally serious, with Bassani long-tube headers, Bassani X-pipe midsection with high-flow catalytic converters, and an SLP Loud Mouth cat-back system delivering the aggressive soundtrack expected from a modified Terminator.
Handling and chassis upgrades include Steeda full-length subframe connectors, Eibach springs, and Maximum Motorsports caster/camber plates, giving this Cobra a more purposeful stance and improved chassis control. Stopping power comes from PowerStop slotted and drilled rotors with high-performance pads.
Completing the look are a set of aggressive 18-inch Saleen wheels, measuring 18x9 up front and an imposing 18x11 in the rear, giving this Cobra the wide, muscular stance these cars
