Drivetrain & Dynamics

The engine starts readily, idles smoothly, and pulls strongly through the rev range. The 5-speed gearbox shifts are direct and positive with no grinding or pop-out, and the action is predictable and satisfying. The clutch feels healthy throughout.

On the road, the driving and handling characteristics are everything expected from the Boxster - balanced, predictable, and genuinely spirited without being demanding, precise steering and a well-sorted suspension.

Recent Maintenance

The following service work has been recently completed, addressing the key maintenance items

New water pump and gaskets, serpentine belt, drive belt and idler pulley, spark plugs, thermostat, and alternator all replaced. New front and rear brake pads and rotors fitted. Brake fluid and coolant both flushed. Toyo performance tires in excellent condition. The water pump and associated cooling system service in particular is a known interval item on these cars.

Exterior

Cobalt Blue Metallic with Tan interior is one of the most attractive colors in the 986 palette. The body and paint present well overall. In the interest of full transparency, there are several chips, scratches, and blemishes throughout consistent with a car of this age and mileage nothing unusual, but worth noting and visible in the images.

A factory aluminum hard top finished in matching Cobalt Blue Metallic is included a desirable and increasingly hard-to-find option that adds genuine cold-weather usability and a very clean, coupe-like aesthetic. The hard top is in great overall condition with some scratches and blemishes visible on close inspection, as shown in the images. The convertible soft top is installed and was reported to be in excellent condition by the previous owner; we did not remove the hard top to independently verify its condition.

Interior

The leather interior is excellent, genuinely well-maintained and presenting as it should on a cared-for example. Power reclining seats, power windows, and Bluetooth audio are all fitted and operational. Air conditioning functions excellently and blows cold. The original owner's manual is included.

The Tan interior against Cobalt Blue exterior is a classic combination for this generation of Porsche warm, well-resolved, and far more interesting than the all-black interiors that the majority of these cars were specified with.

Overall

Well-maintained, clean Carfax, clean title, freshly serviced mechanicals, factory hard top, correct 5-speed manual, and one of the most appealing color combinations make this a compelling acquisition whether the intention is regular driving or longer-term ownership.
