It makes 252 horsepower and 267 lb ft of torque and is paired with Fords 5R55N 5-speed automatic transmission to give it a good power-to-weight ratio for great acceleration and handling too. Power gets to the ground on Ford factory chrome mag wheels and black sidewall performance tires as the exhaust makes a great sound as it exits out the rear thru duals and dual tips. The eleventh generation Thunderbird was based on the companys DEW98 platform, which was shared with the Lincoln LS and Jaguar S-Type that gives it that great handling with its power steering and power disc brakes.
