In 1996, Ferrari introduced the 550 Maranello in a bid to revive the fabled line of front-engine V-12 grand tourers, and it quickly proved to be an overwhelming success. Six years later, it introduced the 575M Maranello, which brought a host of welcome updates.

Increasing the displacement of the V-12 by 250 cubic centimeters to a total of 5,748 cubic centimeters also afforded a healthy boost in power and torque, resulting in a top speed of 202 mph. The front end was revised with updated headlights and a restyled air intake and front spoiler. Buyers also had the opportunity to outfit their new car with a paddle-shift, F1-style gearbox, which proved to be a popular option. To help handle the increased performance, the 575M received larger disc brakes, while its interior was refreshed with a new dashboard, trim, and steering wheel, among other minor updates.

Although most buyers opted to outfit their 575M Maranello with the F1-style transmission, a handful of enthusiasts could not resist the siren call of a traditional six-speed gated manual. Such is the case with the 575M Maranello offered here.

Finished in a unique color combination of Grigio Alloy over Charcoal leather upholstery with contrasting piping and stitching, this outstanding US-market 575M Maranello was completed on 16 July 2002, and originally sold to its first owner through Foreign Cars Italia in North Carolina. After delivery, this car reportedly returned to Foreign Cars Italia for an upgrade to the Fiorano Handling Package, with correct elements including springs present on the car today. Unofficial accounts state that this example is one of approximately 177 left-hand-drive examples of the model to have been fitted from the factory with the classical, gated manual transmission. The 575M Maranellos howling V-12 has always been regarded as a fine engine, but when mated to the six-speed manual this rarefied combination truly makes for an unforgettable experience.

Presented today with 31,404 miles indicated at the time of cataloguing, this stellar 575M was acquired by the consignor in 2024. In October 2025, the vehicle received a major service which included installing new engine and transmission mounts, lubricating several suspension bushings, and refurbishing the sound system with new speakers and radio. Additionally, the well-known sticky button issue was rectified in 2019. The Ferrari will be accompanied by its owners books, a copy of the window sticker, invoices, and a tool kit.
