2002 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe
Coupe Car for sale by Carroll St Auto & Collectibles in Manchester, New Hampshire 03102
The 1967 Corvette is considered the most-loved Corvette ever produced. The combination of classic C2 styling, along with an incredible array of powertrain and comfort options, makes it one of the most desirable Corvettes ever. Not bad for a car that was never supposed to be made!
The ZR-1's production run from 1990-95 was one of the most exciting times for Corvette enthusiasts in recent memory. In the mid-1980s, rumors of a "King of the Hill" Corvette began to leak out of Detroit and into America's speed shops and dealerships.
Classic Car Overview
A completely new design, the fifth-generation Corvette (aka "C5") was produced 1997 through 2004. The C5 boasted a new, all-aluminum 345-hp LS1 V8 (increased to 350 hp for 2001) as well as a new chassis that contributed to more passenger room and much easier ingress/egress versus the C4. The big rear end had impressive cargo space while the interior had less hard plastic and more comfortable seats. A base C5 Corvette provided stunning performance. Indeed, with a 0-60 time of 4.8 seconds, a quarter-mile dash of 13.2 seconds, and a top speed approaching 175 miles per hour, this is a serious performance car that just happens to provide daily driver livability along with everyman affordability.
Here we have a beautiful 2002 Corvette with the rare 6-speed manual gearbox. The lustrous Magnetic Red paint is accented by the polished alloy wheels that are fitted with new BFGoodrich g-Force performance tires. This Corvette has had just two caring owners, has traveled only 43,685 miles and is loaded with options. Highlights of the latter include dual tops (body color and see-through), the F45 adjustable suspension, Z51 performance package.
The Corvette boasts a clean Carfax, has been very well maintained and had new plugs, wires, filters done as well as had the clutch master cylinder, seat track bushing and headlight motors replaced (known common failures). The brakes were upgraded with Wilwood rotors, carbon/ceramic pads and braided stainless steel lines. The body and paint are in fine shape as the car has just had a full detail and paint correction. Only a couple of minor chips are evidence that the car has been driven and enjoyed.
