Classic Car Overview

One of only thirty six ( 1 of 36 ) made in a joint effort by Hot Rod Magazine, GMMG and Berger Chevrolet. In coordination Hot Rod Magazine, GMMG and super car dealer Berger Chevrolet built thirty six limited edition Camaros. The Phase 1 package was $44,095 ( Attached window sticker ). Upgrading to Phase 2 or Phase 3 required the car be sent to the GMMG facility. Upgrading to Phase 3 entailed a complete engine swap to a C5R 427. 

This car was sent to GMMG for the upgrade to the 600 hp Phase 3 package $35,875 ( Attached GMMG invoice with details). In 2016 the engine ( including transmission and rear end ) was upgraded to 700 hp by Nelson Racing Engines $28,905 ( Attached Nelson invoice with details ). At the time of the 700 hp upgrade: Rockland Standard magnum transmission $3,386 ( Invoice attached ). West Coast Racing Cylinder Heads $2,511 ( Invoice attached ). Scotty Carpenter re clear coat paint $3,000. Total $117,772. Additional details: Dash signed by Matt Murphy. Engine compartment signed by GMMG staff. Engine compartment signed by Richard Berger.

 Memorability/Authenticity: Letter of authenticity by Berger Chevrolet, Hot Rod Magazine ( Sept, 2002 issue ) with Hot Rod Magazine Camaro on the cover. Additional Parts included: Phase 1 380 hp engine, GMMG chambered exhaust, GMMG/Wilson intake manifold, Hot Rod Magazine car cover, Hot Rod Magazine floor mats ( still new in plastic ), Hot Rod Magazine key chain, etc. Additional comments: Only 4,835 miles, climate controlled and dust filtered garage, like new.
